It is rainy and depressing here too. I have to go out tonight so I will have to order a taxi as sometimes the bus doesn't turn up at night.

I have had a smoothie and some toasted ciabatta with Flora.

I was looking through my freezer yesterday and found half a bag of roasted veg so I m going to make ratatouille for lunch and add some chickpeas.

Not too bad a morning with a slight breeze so I got some lightweight washing on the line for a while although I think there is rain on the way later.

That’s quite a saving on the veg Farway, I did notice that Te$co and Sainsbugs have them at 15p.

Lunch was crusty bread, brie and grapes.

Tonight I’ll do a prawn fried rice with heaps of added veg.

Yep, grey and wet here too - drive back from the office was bit grim.

Spicy parsnip soup and toasted pitta for lunch. Salmon with green bean and pesto pasta tonight.

I'm not sure if Farway push the rain across the county line but seeing as they were talking about flooding on the A27 at 8am this morning I'm assuming it came from his direction.  It's been grim all day so I haven't been out today.

There isn't a Morrisons near us so no 5p veg, I'm not sure if I can face the Lidl carpark for their 8p veg so it will have to be the Sainsbury's 15p veg.  I want a red cabbage and I know they usually do that as part of their Xmas veg offer

Chicken and mushroom slice from the freezer for lunch. Tomato soup with a slice of cheese on toast for a lazy dinner, I spelt soup down a clean hoodie 🙄

The film was quite good last night, a horror.

I had such a disturbed sleep and woke up at 4. I tried to get back to sleep but I couldn't so I just got up and had a bath and got dressed. I had a herbal tea and my usual toast. I'm going to make a smoothie mid morning and then I had the leftover soup for lunch.

I have the leftover chickpea stew that I could have with rice and salad, but I might see if I want something different for dinner.

    Good morning everyone,
Another wet and wild one here, much colder as well! Still forecast for Christmas Day looks promising.
Made a slightly tweaked version of this Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta - Pinch Of Nom yesterday and it was lovely. Although I scaled back the quantities it still made enough DS2 and I to have for lunch.
I've a quick meeting with the out of school club managers late morning and Tesco coming early evening but apart from that I'll see what the day brings.
    Usual Friday tbc for dinner.

Back to blue sky & sunshine today, but I'm not going out, especially as today is the last day of school & work for some, I bet all the mad folks will be out and about

Used up some past-it bananas in a chocolate banana loaf, never made a choc one before, just added cocoa powder, not choc chips. Smells nice, but not tried it yet

Lunch, another BLT, must add more B to the Asda delivery list for next week
Dinner, may try a 5P veggie tray roast, plus a grilled pork chop

That leftover soup was delicious. I went out to get cash out so I don’t get caught out over the Christmas period. It is lovely and sunny outside here and quite warm in the sun.🙂

My friend and I decided to meet up this morning before the schools break up and avoid the worst of the crowds. I also got the chance to pick up some 5p veg at @ldi which seems a ridiculous price, I just hope it doesn't encourage people to buy more than they need and end up throwing it in the waste bin.

Cold and bright here today but didn’t think anything would dry on the line so small load on the heated airer.

Enjoyed being at home today, caught up on work after a day of meetings yesterday and emptied bins and washed up in my lunch break.

Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Chinese pork shoulder steak with noodles and stir fried veg tonight. Cooked two pork steaks so LO one will get turned into something in the next few days.
