Nice sunny day again although less windy so I’m glad I did my washing yesterday, not sure what the forecast is but I’ll be happy if it continues to stay in double figures.
Lunch was picky bits of hummus, salad leaves, cherry toms and crusty bread.
I’m trying to get the most out of all the veg I ordered whilst it's at its best and not be too repetitive. I used half of the mushrooms earlier this week and used the rest today to make a duxelle, using hm individual tart cases I'll make mushroom quiche for dinner tonight. There’s some of the roasted squash leftover too so I’ll have that as a side along with the last of the ss peas.
I'll think about the other half of the butternut squash tomorrow - after all tomorrow is another day

Chicken and veg egg fried rice tonight.2 -
Enjoy tomorrow Caronc.A grey dark day today, not really wet just depressing! I was volunteering and although the town was busy we were really quiet until late in the afternoon, too much tea and biscuits consumed as we gossiped rather than doing on line training 😁. I popped in to Sainsburys on the way home as my car was parked there, I just needed milk, rice and a cucumber, I forgot the cucumber but did get some YS stringless beans (Helda) for 40p so picked a pack for my sister too.LO salmon rice bowl for lunch. Ostrich burger with chips, coleslaw and salad for dinnerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2

I had three cold mini veggie sausage rolls as I'm in a hurry to go out in a minute. I called a taxi to go to my 41st class of the year!

Still getting used to the new fridge freezer. The doors open the opposite way as it is a different position - I keep trying to grasp the wrong side. One small benefit is that my electricity usage has gone down slightly as the old freezer was running almost continuously. It's not mega-pounds but every saving helps. I've planned out dinners until Christmas Eve which will use up a lot of the stuff in there and already booked delivery for the end of December. I had a lovely chicken biryani last night (7 more chicken breasts to go) and burger in a bagel tonight. I still have half a pack of frozen french fries that I'm not keen on but won't want those with the burger meal. I made soup with all the odds and ends of frozen mixed veg and some butternut squash. The colour's not great but it tastes good.2

Better & brighter weather this morning, sunshine & blue sky, hope similar, or at least not raining, for your outing CaronMy knee is improving, still limping about, but far better. I'm going to try & get out in the garden if the sun keeps upMade an overnight loaf, and had a rummage in the standby tins in the pantry, some close to or just gone OOD stuff there, so looking at odd sort of meals for a few days while I eat them & make some room for replacementsLunch, OOD tinned corned beef in sandwichDinner, OOD tinned corned beef, with salad + AF chipsNumerus non sum2

Quiche, baked beans, bread and butter for lunch. Tapas bits tonight while watching strictly. The day seems to have disappeared but collected a Christmas present, did a food shop, parcelled up the one present I need to post and wrote cards plus had a fairly long hair appointment so that’s where most of the afternoon went I suppose 😊2

Frost on the car this morning but it meant a dry, sunny day 🙂I braved town this morning to meet up with a friend for a coffee/tea and catch-up it was very busy, but I walked in from my sister so no fighting for parking. Afterwards I wandered around the market but couldn't face the shops, presents will have to wait until mid week when hopefully it will be quieter.
i did pop into M&S for a cucumber and picked up some rolls, I had one with egg mayo for lunch.
I defrosted a pork joint, bigger than I usually buy for CFO but it's been in the freezer too long and I forgot about it when my sister was here. I put it in the my ninja used the probe and stream roast. It made prefect crackling all over, and lovely and moist, I can't take any credit! No potatoes but YS runner beans, purple sprouting broccoli, carrots and red cabbage. Plenty of LOs so pork will factor a lot in my menu plan for the week.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
I have my 42nd class today. I just had toasted sourdough with Naturli butter, Quorn chicken slices and lettuce as I woke up late so it was more like brunch.2

Good morning everyone,
Thank you for your good wishes for yesterday. Although the weather was foul it wasn't so bad as to stop people getting to the venue - a pub a few minutes walk from their flat. The venue team were great and DS1 and DIL just looked so happy. It was a drop in drop out affair with kids, dogs and and a "beige buffet" including three types of chips lol which went down well. Assorted gorgeous cakes had been bought from the nearby East European bakery which were all lush. It was long day as away at noon and not back until 11ish so a quiet one today. I plan to finish my Christmas messages and do some wrapping, I'll see how the day goes but I might make some soup for lunches/the freezer. After yesterday's rich eating I'm having chicken salad for lunch and dinner tonight is curried cauliflower and potato soup from the freezer.4
