Also cold, dry & grey here, North & South in sync for a change  :)

My last Asda order for the year arrived on time this morning, some subs and sent back the three large onions subbed for one Kg of bog standard. Large are too large for my CFO needs
Apart from that, cheap veg, salmon & beef are all here
The salmon is short dated, 26th, but I intend to portion up & freeze anyway, so not a problem.

Fridge is bursting and some of the veg will need to go in the cold, unheated, conservatory

Lunch, LO cold roast beef + lettuce + horseradish sarnie
Dinner, portion of pan fried fresh salmon, and steam some of the cheapo veg to go with it

It is much colder out there. I had to stop at a charity shop and buy myself a coat on the way to my class!

I took some leftover lentil ragu and pasta out of the freezer yesterday and tried to eat it for lunch, but freezing it changed the texture so it had to be binned. Gross.

I might make a quick baked beans on toast instead.

Enjoy your sous cheffing N2BT! I’ve been promoted this year but will have an executive chef directing me in her kitchen 😉

Still cold, grey and murky here, apparently it brightens up on Christmas Day…

Quiet last day wfh, with all essential tasks completed and out of office firmly on. Managed to get everything I needed in Waitrose so don’t need to run the gauntlet of M&S foodhall tomorrow.

Jacket spud with cheese and tuna/sweetcorn/mayo with lettuce and cherry tomatoes for lunch. Chickpea and chorizo stew tonight with tenderstem and toasted pitta.

That’s me done for a couple of days too. Happy Christmas everyone, enjoy whatever you are doing 🎄

Happy Christmas JKS enjoy your promotion, hopefully the executive chef will be able to let go of the knives 🙂

I popped around to my sister for a couple of hours late morning her granddaughter was ambulance to East Surrey 2am this morning with breathing problems so my sister wanted company.  With the newborn feeding from mum they all had to go as she also needed mummy.  Luckily she was seen straight away but no beds were available so she was in A&E on steroids and nebulisers until 8.30pm when they took her to Guildford hospital which had a bed, hopefully it's just as a precaution due to her medical history.  They were moving anyone who needed a bed as long as they weren't contagious to other hospitals. Poor little mite she's not yet four and this is her 8th hospital in three years with numerous visits to some of them, she's now able to tell them she's not feeling well!

Late lunch of a portion of chicken noodle soup from the freezer.

Beef Massaman curry and rice for dinner, I froze the last three portions

    Good morning everyone,
Oh poor wee love Brambling, I hope she improves enough to get home for Christmas.
Bright and with a light frost here this morning.
Lots to do today before DS1 and DIL arrive this evening but apart from the routine chores the pre Christmas cleaning has been tackled including me mopping the floors just before I headed to bed.
Trying to eat carefully today before tomorrow's feasting (and the subsequent LOs), so it's cottage cheese salad for lunch and cod wrapped in Parma ham with roasted veg, crispy kale and baby spuds for dinner.
I probably won't get the chance to post for a couple of days so Merry Christmas everyone.

    Bright, cold wind & sunny

Not the ideal Christmas for the little ones Brambling, or the family, hopefully all will be well.

I'm just about ready, one last present to wrap and I'm done

Lunch, starting on the Christmas goodies, posh cheeses ploughman lunch style
Dinner, last of the cold roast beef, pickle & salad bits

I'm over DDs for tomorrow, very early start, the DGS is picking us oldies up about 0730.
He is hoping to avoid the worst of what he thinks will be chaos using the M27 diversion, where they are slotting a new bridge in this Christmas

See you all from Boxing Day, have a good Christmas if possible

I hope everyone has a peaceful Christmas. I have just finished tidying up and vacuuming. Everything is prepared for us tomorrow, including the veg as I have been very organised this year. This year was about doing classes and trying new things and next year will be about my physical health as I intend to join a gym. :)

I have just had sourdough toast with Flora and I'm going to have some fresh fruit after my shower as I have a loaded fruit bowl. I have just popped the heating on, but it looks sunny and bright outside.

I might even make the two of us a roast dinner today as we have enough food for three roast dinners so I might make one today, Christmas day and Boxing day. o:)

Little one was discharged after lunch today after just the one nebuliser required overnight, not sure what will happen tomorrow, if need be my sister will drop a dinner around to them as they are only five minutes away from her.

It's been very windy here today so another good reason to stay in 🙂 I cooked the gammon to take around to my sister tomorrow and the cheese straws are made but not cooked, I'll do that in the morning.

A freezer rummage produced another portion of chicken noodle soup for lunch a portion of shepherds pie for dinner.

Happy Christmas i hope everyone has a good day tomorrow
