    Good morning everyone,
Hope the insurance company get their act together Farway.
We've a weather warning for heavy rain today, it was very wet earlier but is dry just now.
My low level lurgy is still lurking, I wish it would hurry up and depart! I've a "rudolph" nose from all the blowing!
The turkey soup is delicious, just as well as I made it in my bigger stock pot and it's yielded 10 400g portions. Some we'll use for lunches this week and I'll freeze the rest. I need to sort the freezers so I can stash turkey etc. After DS2's small freezer died earlier in the year I've been managing with "just" the two main freezers but with us eating a lot less I'm struggling for space for festive stuff so succumbed and bought a small under the counter one to see me through that. It's currently in the front room/office but in the New Year I'll get it emptied, unplugged  and stashed in the hall cupboard.
Soup for lunch and folded omelette with sauce, salad and rice for dinner.
  • I had half a papaya (unripe 😣) for breakfast. Ate my lunch early as I started work at 7, healthy(er) potato salad. Anna Jones Breakfast eggs zhuched up with some peppers and aubergine and a baguette for dinner.

All I want is a weather forecast saying there'll be more weather.
  • I had my usual toast with Flora and vegemite and my first chocolate from my advent calendar. I have booked two more classes for this week. It is really grey and rainy today. I put the heating on for an hour.

I have got a lentil lasagane ready meal for dinner. I will add more veg on the side. I fancy peas so I might go and buy a bag of frozen peas when it stops raining. Looking at the BBC weather I might just have to take an umbrella!
  • There’s a very stormy sea this morning and a full moon towards the end of the week, hopefully the weather won't be too stormy by then.

I have leftover curry & rice for lunch, just need to add a few more prawns to eke it out a bit more.

Continuing on the spicy theme and trying to clear my sinuses a bit, tonight I’ll do a jerk pork chop, pineapple and red onion salsa, sweet potato wedges.

  • Back to grey and wet today, haven’t left the house 😕

Quiche, salad and the end of the beetroot salad for lunch. LO roast chicken, gravy and roasties with freshly cooked carrots and green beans for dinner. I love reheated roast dinner 😋

It has been horrid wet and grey until dark tonight, I did suggest my sister didn't come up until spring! She didn't get up until really late so just as well

we had a sandwich at the pub for lunch.  fS pork and apple burger (no bun), AF chips, fried onions and sweetcorn for dinner.  I'm reminding myself I'm not my sisters' keeper when it comes to managing her type 2 diabetes just as she's drinking a large glass of OJ and raiding my biscuit tin!

  • I'm having some bread with marg quickly as the electrician is meant to be here soon. I have my class this morning. I did want to go and buy some flowers after and maybe a poinsettia.

It seems quite mild and sunny here at the moment.

Rain early, sunny now but it's getting darker by the minute, so goodness knows how it will finish.

Yes thanks, insurance sorted but not yet paid for, it's on Auto renew but not sure I trust them, I never did get an updated quote via e-mail,  so will probably pay early next week

My lurgy is much the same, lingering but not a real problem

Lunch, last of the HM carrot soup
Dinner, undecided, but I bought a bag of YS Chantenay carrots in Marks last week, 20p, so looking to use them. I may try & "roast" them in the AF, but what to accompany them with ??

    Good morning everyone,
Glad the insurance seems sorted out Farway. I roasted carrot "chips" in the AF on Friday and they worked very well.
My lurgy feels a bit better, I'm still very bunged but my throat is less scratchy.
Dry and cold here today after torrential rain yesterday evening and overnight.
Admin and domestic bits on today's "to do" and I really should make a start on the few Christmas cards I still send.
HM soup again for lunch and tonight Pinch of Nom's Moroccan salmon with salad and sweet potato wedges.
  • Feeling milder here too, sun is shining and a slight breeze so I got a small wash out on the line.

I had a quick walk around town, the Christmas tree is up in the square and looking beautiful. I stopped at the fishmonger on the way home and got some eggs, frozen prawns and a piece of haddock for tonight.

Lunch was some of the leftover jerk pork with the addition of some black beans.

For dinner I’ll probably dip the haddock in panko crumbs and have it with some AF chips and peas.
