I think I have caught your lurgy on here as my throat feels scratchy.
I have eaten terribly today. I just had a veggie burger, fries and a cupcake. 🤪 I’m going to take some paracetamol with some water to try and fend the lurgy off.2025 GOALS

Please keep the lurgy to yourselves 😷🤧🤒 I hope you're all feel better in the morning
it was a cold start 🥶 but I didn't need to go out until lunchtime 🙂 my chair and mahjong set arrived back from the restorer today, he made a great job of both. He didn't think the chair had been touched in 150 years, original fabric, webbing and horse hair. The fabric it seems wasn't black velvet, underneath it was still the original blue and by coincidence it was a very similar colour to the fabric I brought. It's now back in the hall and can be sat on again 😁 I think my mother would have approved
lunch time I took my friend back up to Tesco to finish her mobile purchase as we now have the PAC code. Another very helpful and patience lady.
A early lunch of smoke mackerel pate and toast with a side salad. Ostrich burger (brought 40% off from Ocardo in a ciabatta roll with coleslaw and wedges

I do feel a bit better today. I don't have a sore throat, but a slight cough so I will just stay in today and take paracetamol and have a lot of warm drinks. It might have been from the dust in the house as the rendering and tiling is finished, but they was a lot of dust in my kitchen. I had an early night last night an woke up feeling okay.
I just had a cup of Yorkshire tea in my Christmas mug. I am going to have toast with Flora and vegemite in a minute. I need to go through my top drawer of my freezer today as I keep putting leftovers in there. I might make a soup from all the leftover veg in the fridge.

Damp, dull & grey, as befits NovemberSpent ages on the phone, a lot of it "hanging on" waiting to be answered. My Contents insurance is due, and the premium has doubled, hence my phone call. Apart from getting the most mumbling CS operator imaginable, it was a success, back down near last yearIronically, Mumbler requested that in my review of the call I remember to add his user name, and despite me asking three times for him to repeat it I never did understand what it was
Lurgy, Hmmn, I have sneezes & scratchy throat, nothing planned though so slumped in front of TV with a hot drink will be fineLunch, toast and ???Dinner, YS Mark's corned beef crispy bakes, probably with a tin of beans, easy Lurgy comfort foodNumerus non sum1 -
Good morning everyone,
Have we all been smitten with the lurgy as my nose has been constantly running since yesterday and I'm feeling a bit "off"? Hope you are feeling bit better today N2BT.
Wet and grey though quite mild, it's due to get very windy here this afternoon. Meeting last night went okay and I've a few "to dos" resulting from it to keep me out of mischief. First though I need to have a hoover and mop through.
Soup for lunch, the spiced cauliflower and potato soup work well but made loads so lunch will use up some and I'll freeze the rest for "Soupy Sunday". Last portion of the Moroccan lamb meatballs I made a few weeks ago with pasta and salad for dinner.2 -
It is strange that we all are feeling under the weather at the same time!
I didn't have as many veggies as I thought so I won't make soup today so I'm not sure about lunch yet.
I must have been tired yesterday as I had an Ocado order last night and forgot that I bought a new lentil lasagne so I will have that for dinner tonight along with some steamed carrots and sweetcorn with gravy. I bought a new tub of lemon ice cream too so I will test that tonight.

Feeling slightly better today and that feeling that I had swallowed broken glass has gone but my sides are aching with the amount of coughing I’m doing.
Managed to get to the hairdresser this morning but feeling spent again so like Farway I’ll veg out in front of the tv this afternoon.
No appetite really but forcing myself to eat. Yesterday in between the paracetamol and cough mixture I managed a bowl of soup then later had two butter biscuits and some grapes.
Today so far I’ve had a chicken sandwich followed by more grapes but not sure what I'll have later.

Still got a bit of a sore throat and feel a bit tired and achey. WFH so had a short walk at lunchtime (strangely mild here) but am giving swimming a miss.
LO chipotle black beans and peppers in a melt wrap for lunch with some lettuce and avocado. Going to do salmon with broccoli and pesto pasta in a bit.1 -

Trip to the vet this morning for his lordships annual jabs, I have just been forgiven. He sang the song of his people all the way there and back 🐈 at least it's not far and the drizzle stopped to allow be to get him in and out.I dropped him off and did a few chores outside of town, come home via the butcher in the garden centre, where they update the black board to say where the meat is from all local. I picked up a turkey drum stick, a ox cheek and some shin of beef. It's been dreary all day, drizzling most of it, at least it meant the temperature went up.
last of the cauliflower soup for lunch. I marinated some salmon in lemon grass, chilli, lime, chilli, soy, honey and a few other bits 😁 salmon poke bowl for dinner with jasmine rice and loads of raw veg. LOs for a couple of lunches.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -
Good morning everyone,
Hoping the lurgified feel a good bit better today. Glad you have missed it so far Brambling. My symptoms are mild just an annoying very runny nose, a bit achy and a slightly claggy throat so I'm hoping it gets no worse and clears quickly. CFO today as DS2 is in Newcastle and won't be back until the early hours. DS1 is due soon to drop off Frank as we are looking after him for a few days.
It's cold, wet and very windy here today, DS1 plans to walk the pooches before he leaves but will avoid the beach and the woods. Hopefully that will tire them out and they'll just snooze for the rest of the day.
HM soup from the freezer for lunch and dinner is tbc. I'll see what I fancy later.1
