It was dark and raining last night, but it is lovely bright sunshine here today. I had such a long lie-in. I'm only just dressed now. I don't know what to have... I will look through the fridge.1

Wet and windy here so not really feeling the benefit of the milder weather.
I finally got organised and soaked some oatmeal overnight to make a cinnamon & raisin porridge this morning, I really enjoyed it so I must get into the habit of doing that.
Lunch was another egg mayo sandwich and I’ll have the other half of the pizza for dinner tonight.

I sorted the fridge this morning before my evening SM delivery, one of the shelves needed washing I've no idea what spilt on it. I used half a cauliflower, the last leek and potato to make soup. After lunch I went to my sisters' via my elderly friend who had dropped her iPad and pushed it under the bed when trying to use her grabber on it. Unfortunately the bed is heavy and only an inch off the floor
I couldn't get it out without moving the bed which probably not a good idea for my hip! I told her next time leave it on the floor as it's easier for someone to pick up. I was put to work at my sister babysitting her granddaughters' twin babies, it seems twin babies are hard work when you are 3 😁 she's very cute and has a baby carrier to wear one just like mummy does with her baby brother. I did get payment with a bowl of apple and blackberry crumble 😋 my sister makes the best crumble.
lunch was a repeat of yesterday ham and Brie roll but I did find a new pot of English mustard. I roasted a chicken thighs in the AF and had a mini roast dinner this evening. I cooked a couple of portions of a bolognese sauce whilst in the kitchen so the next couple of days lunch and dinner sorted.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -

It has gotten quite expensive everywhere, I look out in Waitrose for YS but alas I've not seen any.Farway said:Yesterday's on offer sirloin was a disappointment, fell into OK category, I was hoping it would be good, then I'd buy some more to freeze for the Christmas period, but it wasn't to be.
Quiet day at home for me, I did sleep late which threw me slightly, his lordship has not been allowed upstairs overnight since my op so no furry alarm clock.
half listening to Only Connect earlier with my iPad charging next to the TV, something on their wall question caused my iPad to talk to me, not good for shock when you live alone with just the cat especially as I never use that functionality on it so wasn't use to the voice
Easy cook day for me, cauliflower soup for lunch. Spaghetti bolognese for dinner with some LO veg on the sideLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -
Very wet start and hasn’t felt warm all day. Drier and colder overnight I think but at least I might see the sun tomorrow.
Houmous, pitta, olives, carrot sticks and a couple of feta parcel tapas bits for lunch. Quick and easy sweet chilli prawn and veg noodles this evening for early tea before book club 📚1 -
It feels very cold this morning and I have to garden door open as we are getting our kitchen tiled.
I have got the toaster in the living room so I will just make some toast when I feel hungry.1
