:rotfl::rotfl:PN re the mug, that's the sort of thing I do too......

Back to damp and dreary here today so I'm glad I made the most of yesterday's sunshine though I think I used up a few too many "bends" as I'm a bit off balance this morning.

Apart from finishing planting the tom, cue & courgette seeds I've not much planned for today. I stripped my bed earlier so I'm going to take the brave step of not putting flannelette bedding back on:)

Usual toast and fruit for breakfast and lunch will LO roast veg & chicken from last night. I've half a notion for stovies so if I CBA I'll pop the makings of that in the slow cooker shortly.

I had mashed potatoes and baked beans for lunch yesterday. I can't think what I had for dinner!

I have had some GF rolls that I got from Asda with some marg and Marmite and a strawberry yoghurt and a banana. Cup of tea too.

I'm going to make a pasta bake for lunch, GF pasta, broc, cherry toms and some red sun dried tomato pesto. I've never tried the pesto before. I saw someone making a pasta bake recipe with pine nuts on top. I might try and get some next time to try them.

Two hot sausage rolls for lunch :)

I'm working my way up to knocking up a Yorkshire and doing a toad in the hole .... need to double check the sausages date, but I think they're OK for 2 more days ... I've got to use up the sausages and the milk I bought (dated 9 Apr) ... so that seems best, but I have sausage rolls at the minute and CBA making a toad today probably.

    Good afternoon everyone,
I feel as though I've had a productive morning- bed is stripped & remade with "summer" bedding (I've kept the heavier weight duvet on though....), 2 loads of laundry done, tidied the kitchen and have stovies in the slow cooker! I'm ready to put my feet up for a bit now though:).
Lots of bedding plants have just arrived so I'll get them potted later:)

Sounds like it was as memorable as mine last night, one to forget. Mine was CBA reheated LO roast spuds with ketchup:o

Nil breakfast, but into L's on way to volunteering, looking fro inspiration again. Jackpot day. YS rm roast chicken & roast beef dinner. Had them before and good value YS. Ideal for "no idea" days, like today.
Plus YS family mince & onion pie, a favourite YS food, rarely found:j

Now I have a problem with all the food. I'm out & about this weekend so only CFO required is tonight. I think it will be the beef RM and I'll freeze the other two items

Lunch was cheese & salady sarnie, with fresh bread this time

On subject of moving stuff around in supermarkets. I read that it is deliberate, because we all know where to go for what we need, and never bother going in other aisles. They shuffle it around to make us lab rats explore, in the hope we''l bung a flat screen tele in instead of a tin of beans;)

That's the trouble with buying more than one item while out ... you get home and think "aahh ... riiight.... food overload". :)

I'm glad you got lucky with the YS mince/onion pie, they really are gorgeous! I think that's three of us who've been very lucky in recent weeks with these!
  • Plumb outa ideas again. Been to supermarket this morning and got a "list" worth of shopping - so should have some ideas.

Did bring back mini bottle of wine (my treat after a weekly supermarket shop). Was daft enough to drink it and checked out Home City (to find that there's "sun and free fun" been going on there - compared to wind/rain/cold/and "free fun - what's that?" here). Cue for higher level of cba than normal. I should stop doing that....late New Year resolution time again...

I have the feeling dinner tonight will be toast with nut butter and a lot of fresh fruit and milk. Oh well - it should cover a lot of nutritional bases and the exercise videos are starting to show visible results. Cue for me studying one of "my" brands of clothing I've got my eyes on - ie White Stuff and thinking "If that, that and that are still available when...I'm having them....".

    Good evening everyone,
I'll join you in glass MTSTM after all it is the weekend:);).

My earlier productivity fizzled out and I ended up falling asleep while reading. Consequently no more seeds were planted though I did pot up 168 bedding plants.
Menu plan is still not done either but at least stovies have been made so the end of a bag of spuds has been used up and a (small) dent made in the carrot & onion mountain I seem to have at the moment:).

My poor Dad is suffering again with tummy troubles, he has meds for when it flares up which will sort out it out but they don't work soon enough for his liking....
Unfortunately I've not a magic wand I can wave to make him feel better, wish I had as it makes him very grumpy and a bit phone call happy to give me the latest grim update_pale_. Hopefully he'll feel a bit better tomorrow.

The forecast looks more promising for tomorrow so fingers crossed as the garden beckons:).

I'll never say that. 3 would be my absolute TOP limit, if I really really had to and if I'd avoided it for weeks/months/years and put it off .... and absolutely HAD to do it .... 3 tops.

    :)
