Hope you will be okay PN, I hate the dentist too, I think I would rather have a cervical smear test.:rotfl:
I've been quite busy again this morning and have had some grapes, a banana and some roasted chickpeas and a packet of crisps and two cups of tea. Bit of a weird combo of food.0 -
Just had lunch, finished the tinned salmon with salad and a gf crispy roll, I made some more avocado mix so had some on the side. I chopped a fresh pineapple, so had a little of that with half a pear with a big dollop of Greek yogurt with honey.
I've made parsnip and ginger soup, so that will cover a few lunches, dgson is here and he had a taste, he said its good, so I'll send a portion home with him, as he's full of a cold, and the veg and ginger will be good for him.

Wednesday , I hope you don't mind me saying, (I think it was you whose cat was refusing wet food) and you were contemplating dry, please be careful, as cats are prone to urinary crystals, and need lots of water in the diet, they don't drink much. I feed raw, as that has lots of natural liquid but I do add water to that.
Sorry if you feel I'm interfering, but I know you love your animals,.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
Been eating very weirdly today, I just had a GF jam tart and a cup of herbal tea. Husband wants to get a Chinese as well tonight. Not a healthy day!:DWednesday , I hope you don't mind me saying, (I think it was you whose cat was refusing wet food) and you were contemplating dry, please be careful, as cats are prone to urinary crystals, and need lots of water in the diet, they don't drink much. I'm going to give them tuna or sardines each day as well as the dry food. I'm just not going to buy them Felix anymore.:)2025 GOALS

I think I'm coming down with "something", feeling cold & coughing. Spotted Wort's parsnip & ginger soup, now there's an idea, I've loads of parsnips, but bu66er all ginger. Maybe get a root tomorrow, I spotted loads in W/r yesterday.
Went out anyway, after pot of tea, porridge, HM yoghurt, sliced banana & honey breakfast
I mainly needed milk, but spotted YS flans / quiche in Ice£and, so two of them for freezer & a CBA day in the future
Arrived home just as rain started, there goes my planned planting of clematis and potting on the tomatoes. These jobs are best done in sunshine and looking forward to the summer
Lunch was last of the pork pie, with English mustard today
Dinner is likely to feature the last of the roast pork in it, and I think I'll chuck the LO roast spuds in the Actifry to heat them through, sort of chipped roasties.
Or if my lurgy deepens then a sarnie, Netflix, blanket and comfy chair will be order of the dayEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

With hot Lemon, honey and some ginger. Hopefully it won't develop
A bad start to the day with an emergency trip to the vet, hopefully it is just a bad reaction to the jab he had yesterday but he could hardy move his back legs and was in a lot of pain. He came to me with a wariness of men and the male vet unfortunately hurt him whilst examining him (it couldn’t be helped). The poor cat was so terrified he was too scared to move, and I was stressed enough by the time I got home to need my inhale! Luckily, I have a boss who doesn’t react to texts saying ‘cat emergency I may be in but it will be late’.
Lunch was YS Smoked Salmon & Spinach Quiche, salad and HM Coleslaw
Dinner was going to be left over chicken but depending on how the cat is I may be trying to tempt him with it and I’ll find something quick.
PN - Hope the dentist wasn't too painful, and that you're not dribbling too much.....Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good evening everyone.
Farway - I hope the lurgy doesn't come to anything
Brambling - your poor puss cat hope he perks up
The weather here has been dire lots of sleet and hail, it's dried up now and it's supposed to dip to -3C overnight:eek:, I can believe it as it's blinking baltic already.
Lunch was toast with egg mayo, salad and the remaining creme brulee & fruit. Being the mucky pup that I am I did of course manage to spill blackcurrants all down my pale grey jumper:o, I must learn not to eat purple food when wearing pale clothes;). Thankfully it has washed out ok:).
I think dinner will be pasta with either ragu from the freezer or some sort of veggie sauce if I CBA chopping veg.0 -
Popped into 4ldi as it's the last day of their current super six and I wanted the 2.5Kg spuds at 29p. Had a rough idea of how much my four items would be going through the till, but couldn't remember how much the coffee was, but the total still felt "a bit short".... I just checked my receipt and they appear to have reduced the spuds to half price without sticking that info on the container in store (unless I didn't see it as I wasn't looking). I found a bag dated 8 April too (they were still selling some dated 4 April)... so 2.5kg spuds for 14p.0

Good buy on the spuds PN, hope the dental work went okay?
I went for the spag bol option, using the last of a batch of sauce I made at the beginning of the year. Most of my HM ready meals have been used up now in anticipation of less soups/stew dishes wanted with the Spring. Just need the warmer weather to get here now...... If the forecast is right it should be warmer come the weekend:D0
