Although its windy again I think we have the best of the sunshine here on the east coast.

I'm going to do a bit of catch up tv this afternoon, as I missed some of the episodes of the Pan Am 103 drama. I was in my late 20's when it happened and although I remember some of the news items of the time I wasn't fully aware of the extraordinary efforts and actions of the Lockerbie community.

Lunch today was a prawn and sweetcorn salad.

An easy meal for tonight of shop bought filled pasta, with pesto and green beans.

Late start due to Asda delivery & just not getting going

Asda was two subs, one OK, had to return the other with the driver, baking spuds to replace new spuds is not an option in my world
Of course, they could have subbed with Jersey Royals, or more likely a packet of Smash  :)

I remember it well, and just recently have become aware of the PTSD experienced by some very young RAF trainees who were drafted in to search for body parts  :o
Not easily forgotten, I would imagine

I had a craving for chilli so I made some for lunch. I froze the leftovers this time. The Linda McCartney mince has been in the freezer for ages. I checked the date and it was July 2025 so should be okay.

Another day of odd weather, dark and wet most of the morning but then sunny and breezy this afternoon, nice enough to get a load dried on the line 😀. Nipped out for a walk at lunchtime and took a parcel to the post office of a couple of bits from a JL order that I’m returning.

Beans with toast for lunch, just fancied it. Made a sort of Niçoise salad with a grilled salmon fillet and some jersey royals tonight.

I love this weather, sun was out but fresh and breezy.

Toast, butter and marmalade for breakfast, hoummus sandwich for lunch and some cherries. They were very nice but a small bag was nearly £4, not very MSE!

Olives followed by aubergine and spinach lasagne for dinner. I made a big one and have five portions left. I’ll have one on Friday and put four in the freezer.

I had a big bowl of fruit salad as I'm feeling a bit ill. I feel like I'm getting a cold as I woke up with my nose blocked up. It is raining and I have to go out to an appointment.

    Good morning everyone,
Another day of sunshine and torrential showers, it's none too warm either. It's turned sunny for a couple of hours yesterday evening so didn't feel the need to light the stove.
Decided to just make the full recipe for the pasta dish so two portions LO for lunch. CFO tonight, I have a meeting early evening so I'll have a snack around 5.00 and then it will be something  light and quick when it finishes.

It's been tipping down, real drenching stuff, at least the garden is getting good watering now.

Change of meal plan with the weather, not salad today!

lunch, would like BLT now I've seen Brambling post, but no B so maybe mushroom omelette
Dinner, defrosting a pork loin chop, grill that with LO mash

Another breezy but mostly sunny day, took a trip to matalan to check out what's new in and got a pair of nice comfy casual trousers.

Cheese, tomato & lettuce sandwich for lunch and an easy "ping" meal tonight of chicken curry, rice and asparagus.
