    Hi Viv0147 👋

looks like I forgot to post yesterday

I had a hospital appointment this morning which involved them putting those drops in your eyes which sting 😕 all over very quickly but left me slightly blurry eyed for hours.

Bacon, lettuce and tomato roll for lunch.

Salmon Quiche, new potatoes and salad for dinner

    Welcome Viv0147 😀

I was awake at 4.30 this morning 😬 so am in bed, feel exhausted. Nice walks to and from the station in the sun today.

Roasted veg and feta couscous in my lunchbox today. Made egg fried rice tonight with the LO Chinese pork steak, sugar snap peas, sweetcorn and water chestnuts 😋

Dull and windy, with rain in the wind, a day for warm hot comfort food I think

Scrambled eggs for breakfast, for a change
    Lunch, cheese toastie
Dinner, defrosting a breaded cod fillet, that, AF chips & peas

    Good afternoon everyone,
    Welcome Viv0147
My we have had some amount of wind and rain. My sis had collected Hector to walk him and Ari mid morning and they got soaked to the skin in a very sudden and torrential shower. My sis will need a complete change of clothes and the pooches needed thoroughly towel dried.  It's supposed to temporarily clear this afternoon. DS2 collected more compost yesterday but I'm not planting my bedding plants out until the weather settles a bit.
Planned meeting last night was rescheduled to Thursday evening which actually suits me better.
LO curry for lunch, the recipe was very insipid as written and I ended up doubling the spice and adding some garam masala. The tweaked result was tasty and very easy to put together so I would make again with my changes. Tonight we are heading to my sister's for dinner and for once my nephew isn't working so is heading down home this afternoon for a couple of days.

I had muesli for breakfast as a change from toast. It is very windy here. I went to a meditation class and it felt nice and cosy being inside and hearing the wind blowing outside. I just had a bowl of homemade soup for lunch.

We had rain during the night but mostly sunny and dry so far, the wind however is quite strong and making the sea very choppy, lots of "white horses" racing to shore.

Went for some shopping this morning only a few items I really needed so spent most of the time browsing for some inspiration and picked up the smaller pack of duck breast fillets as they had 25% off with clubcard, I've put one in a marinade for a while and will pan fry it to have with some of the salad stuff leftover from yesterday.

I had a boiled egg and solders for breakfast and wasn't feeling very hungry for lunch so just picked at some cheese, crackers and fruit.

I had a hair appointment this morning so typically it rained ☔️  which at least deterred me from hanging around in town. I did a couple of good deeds in the building society, handing in a bank card the cash machine spat out at me and whilst doing so realised the old man in front of me at the counter had left his wallet and glasses so handed them over to the cashier and catching him at the door.

Lunch at my friend's before tackling some jobs for her including some more sorting of her paperwork just 25 years of water and vet bills amongst other stuff at least I tracked down a couple of things she was looking for. And a smoked salmon sandwich as payment 😋

I marinated some pork belly slices and AF tonight and had with sticky rice and tenderstem broccoli stir fried with toasted sesame seeds

Seem to have forgotten to post yesterday, it was that sort of day!

Had the rest of the roast veg and feta couscous for lunch. Thai red curry with prawns, sugar snap peas, water chestnuts, sweetcorn and noodles last night.

Back later, struggling to get going this morning 🙄

I just went to a hair salon to make an appointment. I had a cheeze and lettuce roll when I got home. I have the last of the homemade soup to have, but I don't fancy it at all. This is the problem I have when I batch cook.

    Good afternoon everyone,
After a sunny morning it's now hailstoning and it's really quite chilly. There was a noticeable drop in temperature yesterday evening and I lit the stove when we got back from my sister's. I think I'll get some more logs in a set it up in case we want to light it again this evening.
Fridge bits for lunch and tonight I'm making this pasta dish Budget-friendly recipe: one-pot orzo with peas, mushrooms and bacon | Vegetables | The Guardian . I've made a version of this before using soup pasta and usually add some garlic, a bit of chilli and a squeeze of lemon so will do so tonight. I'll make some garlic bread to have with it.
