Another beautiful day here, I only went for a short walk at lunchtime but even stuck inside wfh, the sun just makes you feel better 🌞
LO pasta salad with blue cheese and sweetcorn for lunch 😋
Did a chicken fajita traybake tonight and had some of it in tortilla wraps with HM tzatziki and salad. LO traybake has been turned into rice salad for tomorrow’s packed lunch.0 -
We had a little thunder and lightning about 11pm last night followed by some heavy rain, it looked like it rained on and off all night but back to a sunny day.
I popped around to an elderly friend this afternoon to read some paperwork for her plus some other jobs she had for me. We spent over a hour trying to find a medical letter, she has loads of carrier bags she has put all paperwork in. I've told her I'm going around next week to help her sort and shred loads of it, amongst other stuff she had receipts for everything back to 2020 when she broke her leg and had a stroke. I may need gin afterwards!
Cheese on toast for lunch. I forgot to to take my planned dinner from the freezer this morning so took a pork and apple burger out after lunch, dinner was therefore burger and saladLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I was doing that for Di, who is now my roommate, before she moved in. I don't drink alcohol - but was considering changing my mind about it. Ended up having strong cups of tea - with no milk or sugar! Cleaning her house took bin loads and some of it (about 60 boxes of it), still made it over here. Hasn't been sorted out either even though she promised 13 years ago.0

Good morning everyone,
Good job Brambling, I have a lot of general clutter in my house which I'm slowly tackling but thankfully I'm not a clutter monkey when it comes to paperwork everything is in an A4 concertina file.
It's another lovely day here, an early (for me) start today. DS2 headed off just after 5am, he'll be back this evening and DS1 dropped off Hector and Frank just before 8am. Frank will go home tonight. I'm going to unload the dishwasher and prep dinner shortly before the kitchen/conservatory gets too warm.
LO curry for lunch. Tonight it's Tebay farm shop's Moroccan lamb meatballs served with HM tomato sauce, pasta and salad.0 -

I slept in late as I was tired from all the walking at the weekend. I'm having sparkling water with lime. I am going to make a toastie for brunch. My cat is coming back today, but the man was delayed in traffic so I didn't have to get up early anyway.2025 GOALS

It was lovely here at 5am today but then the fog started moving in and out then finally deciding to stay in about lunchtime
Surprisingly the avocado in my deliver, though smaller than usual, felt perfect for eating straight away so that was lunch on toast with red onion and tomato.
Also got beefy looking portobello mushrooms one of which should be large enough for tonight stuffed with stilton, spring onion and panko, I'll roast some TS broccoli to go with it.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Good morning everyone,
Voice activated call system aaarrrgh!! They really struggle with Scottish accents. I'm pretty clearly spoken but it's always a trial!
Overcast and cooler today. Yesterday was just a bit too warm for me so I'm glad of the dip in temperatures. The pooches were struggling too so the three of us just flopped in the cooler part of the house for most of the afternoon.
Tebay farm shop meatballs didn't disappoint. The meatballs were all eaten but there some pasta and sauce LO. I'll add some veg and cheese to it for a quick lunch. Pulled pork tacos tonight using the last of the pork I cooked a few weeks ago.
