Cooler here as well and although it looked like it may rain late afternoon it didn't

I hope you had a good lunch out Farway.

I used the last of the seafood sticks with salad in a roll for lunch.

Roast beef for dinner using the Tesco joint I brought on offer at Easter. I did jersey royals instead of roast potatoes but forgot to roast my parsnips 🙄 never mind I still had four vegetables with it. LOs for tomorrow 😋

Sunny spells, but windy & cooler today

Nothing planned today, just potter about, but at least I did get a good night's sleep with it being cooler.

Lunch, fancying something sort of Brunch, banger, bacon & eggs?
Dinner, use up, boil in bag kipper fillets, with H M mash + frozen mixed veg

    Good morning everyone,
Another sunny but cool one here.
Yesterday's bbq went really well. There seemed to be a lot of food but there's not masses LO. It was a large hunk of brisket so I hived some off to use (if it doesn't get snaffled by the DSs) in tacos tomorrow. DS2 has headed to Glasgow to help DS1 with some measuring up and then they are both coming here to work on the front garden. DIL2B is working but will come down afterwards. Tonight it HM lamb koftas, tandoori style chicken, salads and flatbreads. Lunch will be fridge bits,

I felt quite cold last night, I put the heating on for about 15 minutes to heat up the house a bit.

I'm making a batch of red lentil and butternut squash soup for my brunch today and to have leftovers for the next few days. I took some wholemeal bread out of the freezer to have with the soup. It smells really delicious cooking.

Nice and sunny here, haven't been out yet so not sure what the temp is like. I was treated to lunch out yesterday which was really nice but my goodness the portions are huge, so all I needed was crackers and cheese early evening.

Some of you have mentioned quiche recently and I realised I hadn't made one for ages so the oven is on baking a pastry case to have a tuna, sweetcorn and red onion one for tonight.

Retrieved some pate from the freezer so will be having that for lunch with crusty bread, cucumber and grapes.

Even more like a bank holiday today, weather wise 🙄

Bedding changed, bedroom dusted and hoovered, ironing done while it was wet and grey.

Fridge gravel for lunch (all sorts of bits used up) then out for some fresh air and an ice cream as it finally brightened and warmed up.

Thai red prawn curry tonight with baby sweetcorn, sugar snap peas and noodles.

Grey and overcast today with some rain this morning, typical bank holiday weather 🙂

My sister popped around after lunch and we caught up on her trip to Dorset at the weekend as she caught up with a lot of the family so a lot of gossip. She brought back some of my eldest sisters Dorset apple cake which is her specialty 😋 which went down well with a couple of cuppas.

Beef roll for lunch with a beetroot salad.  Dinner was a repeat of yesterday, roast beef, new potatoes and vegetables a nice easy ping dinner.

Sunny, but still a cold wind

Just finalised my Asda order for tomorrow, and renewed the annual delivery pass. Time certainly flies by.

It feels much chillier today. I have to go out for my appointment in a minute. I had wholemeal toast with Flora and a cup of green tea earlier
I am going to have a snack before I leave.

    Good morning everyone,
Another sunny but cool one, it got pretty chilly yesterday evening and I ended up lighting the stove. Bbq number 2 was a success but needless to say we ate indoors!
A use up day today so fridge bits for lunch and the LO brisket in tacos this evening.
It's been great cooking outdoors the past couple of days but less great is the grotty job of cleaning both a gas and a charcoal grill! I think another cuppa is required before I don the rubber gloves.  :D
