Definitely warming up here, turned into a lovely afternoon. Pottered outside this morning then went into town and ran a few errands this afternoon. Also met up with family for a drink in the sun ☀️

Houmous and grated carrot pitta with some cherry tomatoes for lunch. Roasted a chicken this evening and had it with salad and new potatoes. Also roasted some carrots with cumin and pul biber while the oven was on, will make lunches with lentils and feta during the week.

Definitely warmer here, last minute text from my sister late morning and we went up to Leonardslee Gardens for a cuppa and a wander. Unfortunately the buggy wasn't working today so I sent my sister down to the ponds to look at the bluebell bank as my hip doesn't like the steep walk back up and I read and had another cuppa 🙂  We walked around the rock garden it still needs another week for all the rhododendrons to be at their best but still beautiful, she came back to mine and we talked away the afternoon.

lunch was a cookie with my cuppa.  I tray baked some chicken thighs for an early dinner with peppers,  chorizo, onions and orzo and had with some broccoli.

Lovely pics Brambling, and late daffs as well.

Beautiful warm day here, with forecast of the same all week, hope it continues for the Bank Holiday for those working during the week

Lunch, cobble together a Ploughmans with bit of salad
Dinner, Cheesy jacket spud, with salad & coleslaw

    Good morning everyone,
    Gorgeous photos Brambling.  :)
    Overcast but dry here.
I enjoyed my meal out, I opted for the "wee" roast beef and couldn't finish it. Very good value at £10 for three thick slices of slow cooked topside, mash, roasties, carrots, parsnips and gravy.  :)
Dog swap today as Ari arrives for an overnight stay while Frank goes home this evening.
After a slothful weekend I need to crack on with some chores and admin to dos, but want to spend some time in the garden this afternoon too.
Soup and a ham sandwich for lunch. Tostadas tonight using up a tub of chilli from the freezer.

    Nice pics.

I had fresh fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and then I made a bean salad and I had half of it on sourdough for lunch.

Pics are great Brambling I love seeing the Rhoddies in full bloom.

Nice and warm but we still had a thick layer of cloud and there was the odd spot of rain but the washing dried in the warm breeze so I'm happy.

Ham and pineapple salad again for lunch.

Remembered I had a haddock fillet in the freezer so had that tonight pan fried and finished in a buttery, lemon sauce, with boiled potatoes and green beans.

Well the promised heatwave hasn’t arrived here, nice enough day but only got to about 19 degrees…got a load of towels dried on the line so all good 🙃

Portion of quiche with salad, coleslaw and a few new potatoes for lunch. Used some of the LO chicken with pasta, pesto and green beans tonight. Bit of Easter egg with my cuppa this evening 😋

T-shirt weather here  B) and my lovely neighbour mowed my lawn for me 🙂

just a quick trip out to Sainsbury's as I was looking for a light weight summer cardigan for when I volunteer and picked one up cheap.

I took the chicken off a thigh and had chicken salad for lunch.  LO from Saturday for dinner, duck breast in plum sauce with sticky rice, broccoli and green beans

    Good morning everyone,
A promising looking day here, a tad overcast but trying hard to be warm and sunny.
Visiting pooches have departed and before the kitchen/conservatory heat up I want to have a thorough over and mop. Both Ari and Frank are super casters and Hector a much magnet so the place is rather grungy!
LOs for lunch and I've pork steaks defrosting for dinner. I haven't completely decided what to do with them yet will see how the day goes.

Much nicer here today, sun is out early and pleasantly warm.

Pleased that the freezer hasn't changed the texture of the hummus I put in there a couple of weeks ago, having it for lunch in a couple of small wraps with sweet peppers and carrot.

Tonight I'm having what sainsburys call a sizzler steak (never tried them before)  sautéed potatoes, salad & coleslaw on the side.
