lunch out today, I was invited to my sister for roast lamb followed by banoffee pie 😋 little one has really bounced back from her op, is eating well and stopped taking the pain killers a few days ago 🙂 her mum said she's no longer snoring and has to try and stop checking her during the night as she's not used to her sleeping quietly
i wasn't very hungry tonight after a big lunch so just toasted HC bun at 9pmLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

I had a toasted English muffin with the last of the PB. A chai latte.
It has brightened up again. I keep hearing people go past on motorcycles so I think it must be the Southend Shakedown today. I think that is what it is called.0 -
Good afternoon,
Cold, grey and tipping it down after a gorgeous, sunny day yesterday.
I've been chief cook and bottlewasher while the kids cracked on with relevelling and replacing the weed matting at the front. They got the large area done and what a difference, but back breaking work!
Apart from my sister bringing devilled eggs I made all of our Easter meal and I was very pleased with it. The chocolate dessert worked a treat and I made a batch of almond shortbread to have with it. LO dessert has gone to Glasgow with her.LO salads for lunch, there's a bit of lamb left which I'll probably freeze unless DS1 fancies it tomorrow. It was slow roasted with lots of spices then shredded and seemed to yield a huge mound of meat from an just under 2kg shoulder. DS2 is cooking tonight - Cumin chicken with rice, salad and naan.

Cloudy first thing but brightened up mid-morning, the whins (aka gorse) are in full bloom as well as the oil seed rape so the countryside is looking extremely yellow - sadly haven't seen too many bees going about maybe the cold temps we've been having are keeping them in hibernation.
Lunch today was a fried egg softie.
Tonight a very lazy shop bought dinner of vegetable pakoras with tomato and mint dipping sauce and I'll do some roasted tomatoes and a cabbage & carrot slaw to go with them.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

No CFOing for the last couple of days as was with family - some hosting, some picnicing and some being fed 🙃
Just a short outing this morning but home for lunch of bits from the fridge and the end of some nice bread bought for entertaining. I’ve made a batch of nutty sweet potato stew this afternoon but dinner was LO creamy sausage and leek pasta with broccoli.0 -
Volunteering at Petworth today, the cooler and later wet weather meant we were busier than last week. It was raining when I finished so I got a lift I. The buggy back to the carpark.
Last of the gammon with salad in a sandwich for lunch. Prawn stir fry with Singapore noodles for dinner, the chilli was hotter than I thought but I wasn't wasting the prawns 🥵

Good morning everyone,
Sunny but not hugely warm, much better than yesterday's downpours!
I've a huge pile of admin to get done this week, with the holidays I only got the stuff I need this morning so it will be a case of head down and crack on this week as the majority of it needs done by Friday, Tbh I could do without it as we have both Frank and Ari this week so it will be doggy mayhem!
Fridge bits for lunch. Tonight it's either pasta with a veg and chorizo sauce or JO's pasta with a creamy peas, bacon and mint sauce. I'll see which one I fancy making later.0
