Turned quite horrid here too although I did manage a walk before the rain arrived mid-morning.
Lunch was a wrap with turkey meatballs, salad & tzatziki.
Scampi, chips, and peas tonight.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £113.010 -
It looked quite dull and cloudy earlier, but it has brightened up. I had a bowl of strawberries and I made a salad with tofu, celery, mustard, mayo, salt and pepper. I had some of it in a warm pitta bread. I'm about to have a cup of green tea and start my new book.0

Extra volunteering day in Petworth today, it seems Easter with its spring festival isn't as busy in house and shops as expected so it was a quiet day. It rained on the drive in but brightened up later, I still needed a cardi on as it was nippy in the shop now the heating is turned off.
cheese and coleslaw salad for lunch. LO lamb shanks, new potatoes and veg so a ping meal for dinner

Gorgeous blue sky & sunshine, wind has dropped as well, it's really looking pleasantly warm outside.Waitrose delivery arrived just after eight.Frightening, it was around £60 and fitted in one delivery tray
, but does include Easter salmon offer
I had opted for a morning anytime slot, but it was with hopes of early delivery because of the higher priced morning Eco slots. These showed the van would be in my area around Eight / Nine.Elementary, my dear Farway.Everything correct in the delivery, and I've sampled the Hot Cross buns alreadyLunch, sausage bap.Dinner, Posh cod fillet in crumbs & frozen AF chips + peas

Good morning everyone,
Yep it's scary how little shopping is £60 worth even without SO salmon!
Sunshine and squally showers here today.
Poor Hector is a tad under the weather with an upset tum, we were supposed to be heading to Glasgow this evening but have taken a rain check. Hopefully a quiet day and a light diet for a few days will do the trick.
DS2 is making a start on this year's garden project. The front garden is looking a bit scruffy and the weed matting under the pebbles has reached the end of it's useful life as has some of edging. Both are well over 20 years old so can't complain given our damp, salty weather both have lasted well.
Fridge bits for lunch. Dinner is tbc.
ETA after a confab with DS2 I'm making chilli con carne with rice for dinner.0 -
A bit overcast here but at least its dry at the moment.
Took a trip to tesco for a f&v top up and although I don't have lamb very often thought I would also take advantage of the SO and picked up a half leg.
Also got some seafood sticks, haven't had them in ages probably because once opened they have a very short shelf life and not suitable for freezing so they'll be on the meal plan constantly over the next couple of days - today was a salad
I too got some hot cross buns but I'll save that to have with my cuppa later.
Tonight pork stir-fry with noodles, beansprouts, kale, chilli, ginger & soy sauce.

It is a lovely day here. I just walked to the library and back. I had a veggie burger, a potato croquette and salad with a pitta bread when I got home as it was gone 1pm.2025 GOALS

Lovely day here too, a little breezy but nice in the sun. Went out for a walk in my lunch break, exploring the new area 😀
Toasted bagel topped with garlic and herb cream cheese plus some cherry tomatoes for lunch.
Had a good swim after work, pool was really quiet, think lots of people started the weekend early.
Salmon with lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes tonight (plus wine as it’s the weekend 😁🥂)0 -
The sun was back today
I went toTesco after breakfast this morning when it wasn't too busy and got on SO 2 half legs of lamb 😁 a small beef joint plus a side of salmon. The meat has gone straight into the freezer I'll portion up the salmon tomorrow and freeze most of it, I plan for a fishy Easter 🐟 as I have some prawns, smoke salmon and seafood sticks (I know what you mean N2BT but I will try and snack on them asa healthy snack. I also have some smoke mackerel in the freezer but I might have over fished by then🤨
I know what you mean on prices, when I popped into M&S on Monday i had a quick wander around the food hall it seemed that every thing had jumped a lot in price 😕 I just brought some YS half price lemon hot cross buns and really wasn't impressed by them I was glad I wasn't tempted to pay £3 for a pack of four.I cooked a small gammon in the AF (brought YS last time I was in Tesco) and had some with coleslaw, salad and toast.Stir fry beef and vegetables in oyster sauce with sticky rice for dinnerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
