I had a late brunch of Heinz tomato soup with some crackers. It feels more chilly here today so I have the heating on to dry the laundry. I'm about to go and finish my book.0

Cooler day today but not a issue as I only went as far a Tesco for a few bits, I had hoped that their half leg of lamb would be on offer as most SMs just have the whole leg which isn't very CFO, unfortunately it was just the shoulder.
scrambled egg on toast for lunch again using the last of some eggs which needed using. Ragu sauce from the freezer with pasta for dinner

Yep, cooler here too. The sun disappeared very early on and I had to pop the heating on for a bit this afternoon!
Posh fishfinger sandwich for lunch (not had one for ages, really enjoyed it 😋) and easy reheat tea of chickpea and chorizo stew from the freezer.0 -
Good morning everyone,
I reckon the Tesco lamb legs and 1/2 legs will go on offer next week Brambling.
Sunny but cooler here today.
It's Hector's 3rd birthday, not that he's doing anything special or getting anything LOL!
I need to finalise tomorrow's Tesco order and want to clean the bathroom, but apart from that I intend to enjoy the good weather while it lasts.
LO pasta for lunch. Peri peri pulled pork tonight using some of the pork I froze earlier in the week. We'll have it with stir fry veg and Nando's style spicy rice.0 -
Chilly start for once, heating came on just to show it's not yet summer. Sun's out so should warm up soon.Brambling said:Cooler day today but not a issue as I only went as far a Tesco for a few bits, I had hoped that their half leg of lamb would be on offer as most SMs just have the whole leg which isn't very CFO, unfortunately it was just the shoulder.
Did you get your £50 Farway?Mine arrived yesterday, and still in date for Good FridayAnd, thanks, got the £50 message this morning, which is just as well because my Roku streaming thing has gone belly up so the £50 could be spent as easily as it arrivedMaybe not, once I check if a fix is around for the streaming thingLunch, easy salad sandwichDinner, use up frozen breaded haddock & chipsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Better day today, lots of white arms and legs on show in this fine weather
Don't you just love it when leftovers generate even more leftovers, lunch today is the other half of the hash frittata I made yesterday, with a tomato and onion salad.
Tonight I'll have a Burger, sweet potato wedges, slaw and pickles.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £103.530 -
I made a smoothie and it made me feel cold as it is less warm here. I have mushrooms that need using up so I am going to cook them and freeze them and use the rest for a creamy mushroom spaghetti for lunch.2025 GOALS

A cooler start to the day but it got nicer, went up to Leonardslee for a late breakfast with my sister and had a short walk around the top half of the garden looking at the rhododendrons which will be a picture in a week or so. My sisters' granddaughter finally got to have her tonsil operation today so my sister needed distracting. They are keeping her in overnight due to her medical history and because it's a 45min drive in good traffic should there be any issues. It seems she ate a big dinner and was running around the ward, they did a partial tonsillectomy as the issue is not because she gets tonsillitis but because they are too large.
No lunch required after pancakes with bacon and maple syrup 😋 a slice of quiche for dinner with saladLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
It's fairly easy to bone a leg of lamb Brambling if 1/2 legs don't go on offer. Loads of videos on You Tube. Sounds as though the wee one has coped well with her op.
Hazy here today and not feeling as warm. I really hope the weather doesn't break until after DS2's mate's wedding tomorrow.
CFO) tonight and tomorrow (and maybe Sunday) as DS2 is at wedding related things. I'm not sure when weddings became 3 day events but it definitely seems to be a thing. Drinks reception the night before, wedding day and after party the next afternoon/evening! Thankfully this one is local so no hotel needed.
LO spicy rice probably with eggs for lunch. Dinner is tbc, I've a chook coming in my Tesco order so might nab the wings from it to air fry with a baked spud and veg.0 -
A few more clouds here than yesterday but still nice and warm out there. The town is quite busy, with lots of holidaymakers enjoying the seaside.
Lunch today is crusty bread, hummus and grapes.
While I had the oven on yesterday I cooked a chicken breast for tonight which I'll do in a Caesar salad for a change.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £103.530
