I was volunteering at Petworth today helping out over Easter, it wasn't as busy as expected in the House and servants quarters where we are I believe the carparks were full so I think everyone making the most of the grounds in the nice weather. I walked from the carpark this morning in a tee shirt but needed a cardi going back to the car later as the temperature had dropped.

The drive to Petworth is mainly cross country and it is a beautiful drive at the moment with patches of bluebells now in flower and lots of Hawthorn in flower (is it early for Hawthorn isn't it usually May?)

Ham and cheese roll for lunch. Lamb and aubergine curry from the freezer so an easy dinner, I just needed to ping some lazy rice.

Bluebells not quite open here, I wonder if your hawthorn is in fact Blackthorn? Loads in the hedgerows around here, Hawthorn is normally May as you say, for clout casting & all that :)

Lunch, old YS defrosting sausage rolls
Dinner, last of the Farm shop bangers, eggs & chips. Very much use up before tomorrow delivery

Sunny again, so may garden potter later

    Good morning everyone,
I'm trying to keep out of the way as DS1 is working the kitchen until lunchtime before he goes to a wedding. It's another gorgeous day a finger's crossed the weather holds for DS2's mate's wedding this weekend. All three pooches are currently sun bathing on the deck.  :)
LOs/fridge bits for lunch. Tandoori style chicken tonight with spicy sweet potato wedges and salad using up the last of the "Simply Cook" kits DS2 got a trial of.

Cloudy start here but thankfully turned out nice and sunny again.

Jumped a bus to the nearest tesco early on as I needed a F&V top-up and I'm waiting for a "big river" delivery, due tomorrow, thought it best to go today then came home to a parcel on the doorstep.

Lunch was some of the red grapes, blue cheese and crusty bread I picked up at the SM.

The last of the potatoes in the veg box are starting to sprout a bit so to use them up thought I'd make a "hash" with some of the gammon and kale I have in the freezer and top with a fried egg  :)

Another lovely day (once the mist had burnt off) 🌞

Out and about today so cumin and chilli roast carrot, feta and lentil salad in my lunchbox. Pasta tonight with a sauce made with garlic & herb cream cheese and the end of the mushrooms and the end of the ham, served with the end of the PSB…I need to go shopping soon 😂

Farway i think you are right and it's blackthorn, still very pretty and where we went today I could see loads of wood anemone a long the sides of the road and through the trees, I wasn't driving. When I moved here my front garden was taken over by blue bells, wild garlic and wood anemones every spring, it's taken 20 years and a garden make over to manage the wild flowers 🙂

I drove out to the art shop with my sister so she could buy stuff for work, they have a great seconds section, I was t tempted with anything and my purse stayed shut in the farm shop as well 🙂

    scrambled on toast for lunch

Stir fry beef and veg in oyster sauce with noodles for dinner

Very cloudy here today but at least its still dry. I've been doing some spring cleaning this morning, the bright sunshine we've had was highlighting way too many cobwebs  :o

Small amount of leftover hash from last night which I'll convert into a frittata with the last of the ts broccoli for my lunch.

Tonight its Prawn curry and mini naan with a crisp side salad.

    Good morning everyone,
It's been bedlam here as exOH brought his pup over to meet "the boys" as he was giving DS1 a lift to pick up his car from the wedding venue. She a gorgeous, feisty wee thing and I think all the pooches will get on fine over time.
DS1 is heading home today with Frank and Ari. They are looking after Ari until Sunday as DS2 has wedding stuff over the weekend and it saves an extra trip to Glasgow. We'll then have him until my sis gets home from her holiday.
Fridge bits for lunch. I've a tub of HM sausage meatballs in a veg and tomato sauce defrosting to have with pasta tonight.
