Good morning everyone,
Glorious sunshine here today and there's three sunbathing pooches making the most of it. I'm hoping to get the chance to enjoy it too but have some "must do" admin to tackle first. DS2 found out yesterday that his Dad is getting a pup this week, so no doubt another pooch to add to the mix! Family here for dinner tonight and Ari and Frank will go home afterwards. I'm making macaroni and cauliflower cheese which we'll have with salad and garlic bread. LO taco bits for lunch.0 -
I woke up feeling much better today so I will have regular massages.
I had some cherries and then sourdough toast with Flora and Marmite. It is cloudy here today. I want to finish my book after my shower.0 -
Frosty start here again, then fog, some sunshine now its overcast...yuk.
I took your advice Brambling and watched the first series of The Bay yesterday, thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to going through the rest.
Lunch today is ham salad, using a mixture of little gem and cavolo nero which was well scrutinised this time as it's taken me a while to get over the slug episode
I have some of last night's smoked haddock leftover, it was a very chunky piece of fish, so thought I would make something similar to JO's 15 minute Killer Kedgeree for tonight.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

I'm glad you like The Bay N2BT, did you watch The One That Got Away which was on BBC4 a Welsh police drama also very good if you didn't watch it.
After sitting too long in our uncomfortable theatre seats last night I've been hobbling today, we did walk to and from the theatre to my sisters in the hope it would walk off the stiffness. Just as well I'm retired I can spend a lazy day doing nothing 🙂
I had a call from Ocado this afternoon checking my first delivery went well and that the driver covered everything he should have and the meat and vegetables were all ok and within good dates. I was happy to take the opportunity to praise the driver.
Gammon roll for lunch with some salad. CBA to cook tonight still a little sore to stand for too long so beans on toast for dinner.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Colder morning than recently, even the heating has come back on. So much for the getting warmer forecast. But sun is trying hard, maybe it'll improveI think I'm coming down with “something” I have a cough, which I'm told is “doing the rounds”, plus a bit shivery last night. But in general I'm fine, so hopefully it'll just go away.Lunch, tin of veg soupDinner, HM frozen beef thingy stewEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Hope the sniffles go quickly Farway.
Overcast and feeling colder here today. Yesterday was lovely but only if you were in the sun and out of the wind, good drying day though! After pooch visitors I need to have a good hoover as both Ari and Frank are casting for Scotland apart from that and some admin I've no real plans.
LOs for lunch and it's slow cooked gammon shanks for dinner (recent Tesco SO) with veg and potatoes.0 -
Weather has obviously flipped from west to east Caronc, lovely sunshine with a moderate breeze here, as you say great drying weather so I've got my bedding out on the line.
Thanks for the suggestion Brambling I'll keep that in mind when I finish catching up with The Bay.
Lunch is a cheese and pickle salad.
I have some mashed potatoes leftover form Sunday so thought I'd use it up as a topping for a pot pie using the last of the turkey pie mix I made from the Christmas bird.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £103.530 -
It is bright, but cloudy here. I had a sausage sandwich for brunch. I slept in late. I need to use up my last mango in a smoothie.2025 GOALS

His lordship decided 6am was a good time to get up 🥱 he has a litter tray but won't use it unless he really has to and being a PITA is more fun 🙄 it was foggy when I let him out! I went back to bed but think I felt worst afterwards for having done so. I did put the heating on for a while when I got up,the first time in a few days.
i tackled the small bedroom today as it's become a dumping ground, I've brought a narrow but tall cupboard to go in there (20% off 😁) for additional storage and wanted to tackle the chaos before it's delivered on Thursday. Christmas decs and tree will have to stay as I'm not great on ladders and have promised my nephew to stay away from the loft!Gammon roll for lunch with beetroot and a tomato salad. Noodles with veg and prawns for dinner with oyster sauce.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Mixed sun & cloud, warm in sun thoughAsda delivery arrived, one not available item, but nothing serous or inconvenient.I'm tempted to try Sainsbury, seems easy enough, and made start with a list, but may leave it until after Easter, I don't want to get caught between two stools at the wrong timeLunch, salad sandwichDinner, mushroom Wellington from Asda this morning, thought I'd try it, plus mash & fresh carrots, frozen peas
