I forgot to use up that mango again! I will make a smoothie in a minute. I hope the mango is still okay. It looks lovely and sunny here today. It is so much nicer being warmer.0

Good morning everyone,
Trying to be sunny here. I'm all bunged again but think it's hay fever rather than the lurgy, I've taken a tablet so hopefully that will help. I've got all my seeds looked out in the end up I didn't need to buy any apart from a packet of yellow tumbling toms.
I was very MSE yesterday and made pot of soup using up cauli stalk and leaves, a broccoli stalk and half a head of broccoli florets it's very tasty and made enough to pretty much cover lunches for us both until the weekend.
Chicken Makhani with rice, naan and salad for dinner.0 -
Another chilly start this morning and although the sun is out the wind chill factor is still making it feel quite cool. Took a bus to Asda for a couple of items, picked up 2 growing herbs so that I can get my windowsill herb garden going again. Unfortunately no basil so I will make a separate trip to the big Sainsbury next week in the hopes of picking up a pot of greek basil, I love those little leaves that pack such a punch.
Small piece of cheese leftover from yesterday used it to make a cheese & onion toastie for lunch.
Tonight I'll have mushroom pasta with some green beans on the side.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

I slept badly last night and no chance of a lie in as I was meeting my sister at her garage after she dropped her car off for its MOT. She dropped me home before borrowing my car for the day, we reversed this when she pick it back up at 4pm.My car insurance renew email came through today not too bad although when I called to advise I'm retired now (forgot to do) they said it would be £8 more 🤷♀️ I'll look around as per Martins advice but it's not a bad quote and only a little up on last year. Unfortunately if I remember correctly the house insurance will be due tooTidying the small bedroom has produced a lot of old paperwork which I went through this afternoon, just need to finish shredding it and tackle the 'house' paperwork tomorrow.Gammon roll for lunch again! With salad. Breaded haddock for dinner with chips and vegLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0

Good morning everyone,
Grey, wet and windy here, certainly not Spring-like.
DS1 and DIL2B are down this evening to go and see ex-OH's new pup, DS2 popped down last night and said she was very sweet. We'll look after Frank while they visit and they'll come back for dinner here. I'm making pasta with sausage and veg ragu. I've a stack of admin to tackle so will try and get that out of the way before lunch. Cauliflower and broccoli soup planned for lunch.0 -
I only just used up that mango now. It was fine in a smoothie. It is a lovely sunny day and I have an art class to go to.2025 GOALS

Sunny although breezy this morning, not so cold as yesterday thankfully, but its raining now. Managed a brisk walk in the sunshine before lunch which was a couple of slices of toast with pate, tomato and cucumber.
A rummage in the freezer produced a portion of chicken curry for tonight, I now have to decide what to have with it - maybe rice, or chips, or naan bread - Oooh decisions, decisions......I'll make up my mind laterJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

I have a GP appointment this morning. It looks like it is about to rain. I was actually hot walking back from my class yesterday. The bus didn't stop as the kids had just got out of school so I walked home.
I am about to grab a banana and eat when I get back.2025 GOALS
