It looks like another nice sunny day. My council tax letter arrived yesterday too. It is going up by £8 a month. I just had toasted crumpets with Flora and I'm about to make some tea.

    Good morning everyone,
Sunny and feeling quite mild after an earlier frost.
It was lovely enjoying the sunshine sitting the conservatory catching up with my friend yesterday, we had to open the door for a bit as it was too warm. I'll enjoy a potter in the garden this afternoon after I've finalised tomorrow's Tesco order. Hm lentil & veg soup for lunch. I've lamb keema defrosting for dinner tonight so just rice and raita to sort out later.

I am craving pasta so I'm having penne with a tomato sauce with black olives, lentils, tomatoes and sweetcorn. It is warm outside. :) I went out for a walk wearing a short sleeved cardigan earlier instead of a coat or jacket.

Another heavy frost overnight but lovely sunshine for most of the day.

Had a visit to the hairdresser this morning, then caught up on a few chores before lunch which was a portion of the sweet potato and red pepper soup from the freezer.

Defrosted the last of the king prawns to have in a stir fry tonight with loads of veg and noodles.

I thought I was coming down with a cold this morning I woke with the sniffles and a headache and felt below par but after a afternoon nap I feel ok so will see what the morning brings as to whether I volunteer tomorrow p.

i used a voucher from Ocado today which also included free delivery, I use to ignore their offers as you had to spend at least £60 for the 20% and it now is surprisingly easy! I did top up on tins. I want to see what they are like as I'm thinking I will use SM for a bit after my op to avoid asking too many favours. I liked their services and they are very efficient but I couldn't see that they sell loose fruit and veg which is handy when CFO. Just the one sub which went back and the chicken thighs look very small

Just some toast and marmalade for lunch.  Fish finger sandwich for dinner so a lazy food day

    Dull but mild

Made a bread pud first thing, using up all the odd slices I've frozen in the past, now I have a bread pud plus freezer space.

Thanks for this. I am about to complete my Asda order, but I'm thinking of changing to Ocado. But every time I make a start, I finish going back to Asda, laziness. I know what their stuff is like and how it's listed.
I'm waiting for a voucher as well, then it's sorting out delivery times.
Furthermore, I was looking at Tesco, but a lot of what I wanted the offers expired before I want delivery, so pointless me ordering a pig in a poke

Lunch, another cheese & pickle sandwich
Dinner, trying beef medallions from Morries, first time for me. They look fine, but who knows once cooked? With AF chips + fried eggs.

I had some of the leftover pasta for breakfast, along with a lemon and ginger tea. It is a bit cloudy here, but quite warm.

    Good afternoon everyone,
Tesco offers usually run from Weds to Tues  for a varying amount of weeks if that's any help Farway.
Unfortunately OCADO doesn't deliver to this post code.
    Overcast and mild here today.
My sis took Hector and Ari for a run on the beach, they were both very sandy afterwards so I will need to hoover this afternoon.
Last of the veg & lentil soup for lunch. Usual Friday tbc for dinner

Not sure what the prices are compared with Asda Farway, I received from them today saying it was £2.54 cheaper than Tesco I'm assuming that is. Score the voucher so the vouchers are on top of that. They do deliver in bags and charge 10p each but they will buy them back off of you the next delivery and it says they will deliver into your kitchen.  TBH I don't mind popping to the SM or into town now I'm not working and do flit between the shops but this won't be possible for a while after my op and delivering in bags into the kitchen would be a plus.  One thing is if they dela substitute they charge you the substitute prize and not the OOS item price.

A nice quiet volunteering day so I finished just after 4pm and got home before the rain.

Ham and Gouda cheese watercress salad for lunch.  Pan fried sea bass with green veg  and salsa verde for dinner, these where Aldi sea bass fillets and I think I prefer the Lidl if buying cheaper ones, the fish man in the market are the best but twice the price, I usually Yu them YS in Waitrose when I see them half price or less.

I have a massage today. I have to go and pick up a prescription too as I asked for painkillers for costochondritis. I don't know why I keep getting it as I looked and I had it this time last year too. I'm hoping the massage might help as well. I have the appointment for the MSK next week.

I'm going to have a smoothie before I go and make a proper breakfast when I get home. It is bright, but cloudy here today.
