I just had two slices of bread with Flora. I am eating out for Sunday lunch today. It looks quite nice and sunny out there. I'm wondering if wearing a denim jacket might be enough. I will take the recycling out to the garden to see if I am being optimistic about the weather.0

Good morning everyone,
Cloudy and cold here.
No real plans for the day apart from some cooking for the week ahead and routine chores.
LOs for lunch and roast chicken dinner tonight. I've defrosted a whole chook so it will be chicken in various guises for the next few days.0 -
Forgot to post yesterday there wasn't much happening anyway, used up a few fridge bits and had chilli with rice last night.
Today's lunch was a fish finger & salad wrap.
Tonight I'm using up a piece of puff pastry from the freezer to make a mince round/pasty type creation with some mashed potatoes and veg on the side.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

After a sleepless night due to a niggling hip his lordship woke me just after 6am😴 I was not amused he knows trying to lick my face gets a reaction as does knocking items off my dressing table. He was sulking when I got home last night as I was out most of the day and evenings so i think it was an early morning payback. He was evicted from the house 🙄
It was a chilly but lovely day so my sister and I went for a late breakfast at Leonardslee, neither of us wanted a full English which is quite large. I had a bacon and egg bap which had loads of bacon and she had a small pancake stack with crispy bacon and maple syrup which I may have next time. With our members discount and tea for two it was as very reasonable £15 🙂 The magnolias and Camellias were out as were some baby wallabies 🦘 🦘🦘🦘
No lunch required 🙂

Good morning everyone,
Overcast and cold here.
Yesterday I took the legs and wings off the chook and roasted them for dinner yesterday/lunch today. I'm just about to put the slow cooker on with the crown which I'll use for a stir fry tonight, cottage type pie tomorrow and stock for soup.
Admin beckons today and I need to have a quick hoover. Ari was staying last night and he isn't half casting.
LOs/fridge gravel for lunch. Chicken and veg stir fry for dinner.0 -
Wet start here but turned out quite nice now and definitely feeling a bit milder again.
Some of my veg was beginning to look a bit sad so put on a pot of soup this morning.
Lunch is a leftover piece of the mince pasty I made yesterday.
Tonight I'll have the last of the sweet potato & onion bhajis that were stashed away in the freezer with some spiced onions and a mixed salad.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Good morning everyone,
A frosty start and it's still very cold despite some lovely sunshine. DS2 would've needed to scrape the car when he headed off just after 5am, he'll be back this evening.
Decided yesterday I really fancied soup for lunch only to discover I'd ran out of HM soup in the freezer and didn't fancy tinned tomato from the cupboard. Cue what turned out to be a surprisingly tasty bung together of a small portion of cauli cheese, stock, peas, broad beans, spring onions and garlic seasoning. There's enough LO for lunch today. This afternoon I'm going to make a pot of lentil and veg soup, a friend is coming for lunch and it's one of her favourites. Dinner tonight is going to be a chicken, bacon, leek and mushroom potato topped pie with side veg and gravy.0 -
Frosty start, but now bright sun & blue sky, with a bitter cold wind.
