Sunny spells and squally showers here, I managed to avoid getting soaked when I took the bus to have a mooch around @ldi. Treated myself to some tulips and a smelly candle
along with the required fresh items.
Cheese scone & salad for lunch.
During my freezer tidy I found the last of the Christmas roast potatoes so decided to use them up with the last piece of salmon quiche, some steamed leeks and brussel sprouts.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Volunteering meeting at Petworth this afternoon and it had just started to rain when I got there, i got back to the car two hours later and it had obviously hailed as well. It hailed here about 6pm as well, his lordship was not impressed when I opened the front for him and changed his mind about the need to go out 🙄 it was cold enough for the ice to layer at the back of the car when I went out just after 7.Light lunch of a toasted bagel thin with cream cheese as I knew there would be cake at the meeting. I resisted the second slice 😁

Chilli con carne
Halloumi fajitas
Bit of a theme running hereusing a lot of the same ingredients.
Lunch is a ham & salad roll and I'll have the halloumi fajitas tonight and leave the flavours to develop in the chilli for another day.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Good morning everyone,
A heavy frost started the day but it's nice and sunny now though not much above freezing.
DS2 got home around 8.30 yesterday evening and there had been flurries of snow on the M74.
I made a good dent on the admin pile yesterday and I'm pretty much (for now) up to date with it. Time to think about getting my tomato and cucumber seeds started so need to see what if any I need to buy.
Council tax bill arrived yesterday, it includes our water/sewerage and it's up by over 9% between the two! Needless to say my pension increase isn't matching that!!
LOs/fridge gravel for lunch. CFO tonight as DS2 is out for dinner, I'll decide later what to have, there are various HM RMs in the freezer.0 -
I decided to use my treadmill every morning before I eat breakfast. I made a playlist to make it less boring. I realised I have run out of handwash upstairs and downstairs and so I had to go and buy some from the pharmacy. It felt quite chilly indoors (as usual!) but it is quite warm and sunny outside. I was okay with just a jumper over my dress. I was starving when I got home so I'm having some bakery bread toasted with some Flora.0

I was asked by an elderly friend to go around this afternoon as her banking app had 'disappeared' I managed to find it in a couple of seconds! But I did amend a DD for her and set up a new kindle. I probably upset her by saying she didn't need to buy a kindle as she could have added a kindle app to her iPad and use that and save £100! I'm not necessarily known for my tact but too be fair she's not either 😁
whilst popping out to the bin 10pm tonight I opened the front door to a deer on the path, not sure who got the biggest scare 🙂 I had seen signs so I knew either deer or very large rabbits visiting my front garden!
A portion of minestrone soup from the freezer for lunch. AF chicken for dinner with wedges, coleslaw and salad.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

I woke up very early, but forgot about the moon.
It is a bright but cloudy day at the moment. I'm going to use the treadmill and then have avocado, tomato, cucumber and lettuce on toasted bakery bread along with a smoothie. I might make a batch of spicy roasted chickpeas later. I haven't had that in a while. It will be something from the freezer tonight with whatever veg I have left in the fridge.2025 GOALS
