Rained overnight, but very mild with sun trying hard. Thanks for the online shopping tips, Caron & Brambling, charging sub price & not order item price makes me way, but from what I hear most stuff is available at Ocado anywayI did see a report yesterday that Asda are reducing the choice of items they sell, so my mouse may be forced anywayI'm just completing next week's Asda order now, I'm tending to get meat from Morries on alternate weeks, I've found I do need to pick & choose to avoid the dodgy cuts Asda slip inLunch, toast & cheeseDinner, last of the beef medallion, OK, but I'll not buy again, rather have a proper steak for similar moneyEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
I'm pooch sitting Hector & Frank today while the kids head to Edinburgh to see Frankie Boyle. They've got them out for a good walk/run around just now so hopefully they'll be tired afterwards. The kids expect to be back around midnight and DS1 and DIL2B will stay over and then leave Frank with us until Monday as they have tickets for the Scotland game. Last night I made jerk spiced chicken thighs with pineapple and there's 1/2 a thigh and a pineapple ring LO which I have for lunch with salad in a wrap. Dinner is tbc, I'll see how pooches are behaving and take from there.0 -
I forgot to post yesterday, I got distracted and ended up "binge watching" the drama series Protection, thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend if you haven't seen it.
Farway, I've been using Sainsbury for a "big shop" every 3-4 weeks and access other SM's via local buses if I need to top-up on fresh stuff. If Sainsbury sub an item that costs more they refund the difference with a voucher off a future shop. Deliver costs vary as well, to date because my order has been over £40 I've managed to book an 11.00 - 15.00 "Saver Slot" which costs £2.00 and on the day they confirm an hour slot when you can expect delivery to arrive. On the whole I've been very happy with their service.
Lunch today is a ham & tomato sandwich.
Tonight it's baked potato with chilli con carne and a side salad.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £103.531 -
I decided I didn't need to go out today so a washing and housework morning, unfortunately I washed a couple of tissues with my dark wash 🙄 the wash included navy trousers and a jumper, white bits everywhere including the black top I was wearing
I'm also enjoying Protection N2BT although I'm not binge watching it, I did finish The Bay yesterday binge watching the last three episodes and that was very good too. ITV produce some good police dramas
Blue cheese, pear and walnut salad for lunch.I roasted a gammon joint in the AF with a honey and mustard glaze and had some for dinner with chips, french beans and savoy cabbageLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I feel sore from the massage yesterday. I think I will get them regularly as I could feel how tense my body was.
I'm having a blueberry and mango smoothie and then baked beans on toast for brunch.0 -

Good morning everyone,
Farway Tesco refund the difference between the item ordered and any sub unless the sub is cheaper in which case you pay the cheaper price.
Dull but mild here today.
Pooches were well behaved yesterday so not too exhausting. They've had a decent walk this morning so now snoozing peacefully. We have Ari overnight tonight too so a full house.
Yesterday I made a pot of chilli, I had some for dinner, DS1 has snaffled a tub full for his lunch tomorrow and there's a couple of portions left which I'll probably freeze as we are having chicken tacos tonight. Brunch is going to be scrambled eggs, bacon and mushrooms.1 -
A bit "murky" here this morning, combination of low cloud and a turbulent sea creating a misty sea spray, but the sun is breaking through now and again
I've never watched "The Bay" Brambling, somehow it seems appropriate that I have a look at it
Lunch was a lorne sausage sandwich with a dollop of brown sauce.
I'm on fish tonight too, defrosted a piece of smoked haddock which I'll have with some mashed potato, asparagus and peas.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £103.530 -
Give The Bay a try N2BT it has just finished series four but all are available to catch up
I was up early thanks to the furry alarm clock, it's light too early 🙄
Aba on and egg ciabatta roll for an early lunch.
my sister and I went to watch a play tonight Far From The Madding Crowd at least this Thomas Hardy has a happy ending! The play started at 7pm so an early roast chicken dinner with my sister and nephew, she makes a very good roast. Will need to rejig my menu plan as it was a last minute invite for dinner I'll need to work out what to freezeLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Dry and brightening up after a rainy night. Supposed to get warmer as well, it's chilly right now. Thanks everyone for info on alternatives to Asda online shops, I have Asda due Wednesday so will have a fortnight to sample alternative, don't want to jump too soon, I have delivery pass running until May.Lunch, HM bread pudding + custard?Dinner, TBD, maybe a stab & ping from the freezerEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
