Good morning everyone,
A frosty start here and although it's a nice, bright day it's not really lifting. Doesn't look too bad underfoot but I will tread carefully on the bin run!
Another day of domestics and voluntary admin is planned. The drawer of "bits" in the kitchen is now a tidier drawer of bagged bits. I'm not going to need to buy any biros or markers for a good while.I've reorganised four out six shelves in my larder cupboard as they had become rather jumbled. The remaining two are not too bad so just need an empty, wipe down and replace though that probably won't be this week.
Last of the veg soup for lunch, there's only a small amount left so will probably have a sandwich with it. Lamb keema is in the fridge defrosting for dinner, we'll have it rice, naan and HM raita.0 -
Very hard frost this morning but at least we had sunshine.
With the threat of a storm coming towards the end of the week I decided to jump a bus to @sda and pick up some F&V, food bags and bread rolls to keep me going until I do my online shop.
Ham salad for lunch.

My stomach was feeling a little off yesterday and today, but I went to my class yesterday and then felt too ill to go to my new class today. It occurred to me that I might have had Norovirus as I had it before when I lived in London and didn't feel too bad with it as most people say they do feel terrible with it. Eek, I hope I didn't pass it on if it was. I'm wondering if that was why I felt so tired after meditation yesterday.
I had plain boiled rice for dinner with a few salad veggies. I just had some crisps as I feel a bit better. I bet I will be ravenous tomorrow morning.0 -
Repeat of dull & grey, likewise the coming storm seems to be a more up country, but blustery winds along the south coast are due later, and heavy rain in six minutes time according to my computer, that is some precision!I had to put my heating on mid-afternoon yesterday, just could not get warmed up after gong out in the morning, Morrison's was freezing insideLunch, fried egg sarnieDinner, grilled pork steak, mash, carrots & frozen peasEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I took some raspberries out last night and made overnight oats with milk and maple syrup. I had that this morning with some lemon and ginger tea. We haven't had the rain yet.2025 GOALS

Good afternoon everyone,
It's batten down the hatches time here as we are smack in the middle of tomorrow's red weather alert. Manky day here but no wind so far. DS2 is going to make sure we have a decent supply of logs brought into today and we have plenty of candles etc. Probably won't be needed but better safe than sorry.
