A grey but dry day here although we have had a cold weather warning for the weekend by the council, according to the weather app it's not going to drop below freezing, we will have to wait and see!

A quick fridge sort this morning and egg muffins made with eggs which needed using, half pot of cottage cheese, a couple of sad peppers which I roasted, last of the spring onions a couple of rashers of bacon and the last of  a pack of cheddar cheese plus a few peas.  A couple were had for lunch with salad.

salmon, new potatoes and green veg with a caper, parsley 'salsa' for dinner

  • It is very grey and dark today. I'm just doing some laundry. It doesn't feel cold at all, weirdly, but it says it is going to get cold tonight.

I'm going to have a smoothie and some crumpets with jam again.

    Good morning everyone,
Grey, damp and windy here today.
Off out to a friend's later for dinner. A group of us are going away for a few days at the end of February so tonight is our "planning meeting" lol to sort out catering etc.
Next weekend we are having a family get together at my sister's for her birthday. She's requested a 1980s style buffet so yesterday I made a quiche Lorraine to freeze so there's less last minute stuff to prepare. I've not made one from scratch in years but it seems to have come out okay. There was enough pastry and filling LO to make a mini one which I had with jazzed up LO baked beans for dinner last night. HM soup planned for lunch.
  • Another lovely sunny day with a moderate breeze, great for finally getting my bedding washed and outside to dry.

Went for a walk around town and stopped in at the craft shop to pick up some wool for a crochet project.

Leftover sausage & bean stew for lunch.

Broccoli Quiche, boiled potatoes and coleslaw tonight.

  • Another lunch out today and it was filling so I’ve just had cheese and biscuits for tea 😋

    Good morning everyone,
Grey, damp and chilly here though not raining just now. DS2 has taken Hector to the beach to meet up with a mate and his pooch, an Australian Shepherd that will run rings round Hector so I'm expecting a tired and sandy pooch to return!
I had a lovely evening with my friends and we have a meal plan for the week sorted out. My friend's hubby cooked dinner which was gorgeous slow cooked and pulled topside of beef, with mash, carrots and asparagus. All very yummy.
Apart from Tesco coming later no real plans for today. HM soup for lunch and tonight DS2 is making Korean chicken wings with salad and baked potatoes.
