It is much milder here, thank goodness. I really hate the cold.

I am probably going to have jam and crumpets for breakfast along with a smoothie and green tea.

    Good morning everyone,
    Thanks for the information weenancyinAmerica.
Absolutely tipping it down here, I'm meeting friends for lunch and I'm hoping it eases a bit or I'm going to get soaked.
The hotel we are going to offers a very good value two course lunch menu so I suspect dinner this evening won't be needed. DS2 is making dal so they'll be that or some LOs if I'm feeling peckish later.

It took ages to brighten up this morning but thankfully the temp has really picked up so we had a complete thaw overnight  B)

Hopped on an early bus to the next town had a browse around before doing a quick F&V shop in Te$co.

I’ve felt cold today even though it is milder, probably because it’s been grey and damp…

Spinach and ricotta tortellini with tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes for lunch. LO harissa braised tomatoes and chickpeas with halloumi tonight 😋

Lazy day other than going to pick up something from Argos and some financial admin

Sardines on toast for lunch.  I roasted a couple of small chicken thighs from the freezer and made a mini roast dinner

Brighter morning, I actually saw a sunrise today, a nice change from grey gloom
I am probably going to have jam and crumpets for breakfast
ooh, wish I'd thought of that, I have some frozen ones.

Asda delivery due tomorrow morning, so far no messages about shortages, so assume all will be there. However, I see reports that the axe is falling following a poor Christmas, just hope even more items do not vanish, or I may have to start looking elsewhere.

    Good morning everyone,
Dry but grey so far. Yesterday the pouring rain stopped just before I needed to leave so I wasn't a drowned rat when I met friends. We had a great catch up and a lovely lunch. I had fish and chips followed by a brandy basket filled with raspberry ripple, fruit and coulis. The portions were just the right size to enjoy two course without feeling stuffed.  :) Dinner last night was a couple of spoons of dal with a small piece of naan.  Lunch today is tbc probably soup from the freezer or fridge bits. My sister is coming for dinner this evening, I'm making the Hairy Bikers potato, onion and cheese pie (basically baked cheesy mash) which we'll have with sausages, beans and pickles. HP sauce may well feature!

I had crumpets and jam again for breakfast. I went to my meditation class, but I forgot to bring my energy bar with me so I was hungry when it ended. I went to a bookstore on the way home that sold cakes (that were all vegan) so I ended up getting a cherry bakewell tart. :p

Much brighter today, clearer skies and some sunshine. Took the chance to go for a long walk which was badly needed after being cooped up with the horrid weather.

Milder again tonight but grey and felt a bit damp.

Thai spiced sweet potato soup with toasted pitta for lunch. Out for early tea straight from work 😋. Feel very full still!
