Very early start to get to a meeting today so it’s been a long day.

Courgette, cannellini bean and grain salad for lunch. Made a chicken, red pepper and sugar snap pea egg fried rice tonight 😋

You need to look at Bella Coco (on Youtube) C2c is easier to start with than granny squares...imo. :)
When I was learning someone on the forum recommended Bella Coco as well.

Cold enough for a cardi today  :| I did some edging in the garden until it started to rain after lunch then went into town to pick something up and to pop into Sainsbury's where I brought more than I planned  :# and nearly got overcharged due to incorrect placement of YS sticker not covering the bar codes 🙄

I left my long handle shears in the dining room to finish edging and managed to kick them with some force bare footed so now have two bruised and slightly bloody toes  :s and later walked the same toes into the door frame 😣 I was definitely accident prone today

Ham, cheese and salad wrap for lunch.  I picked up a YS pizza which I had for dinner with salad

Oh no, your toes! Eek. It was chilly yesterday. I had to swap my nightshirt for leggings, t-shirt, socks and a cardigan.

I am about to have some delicious looking cherries I got in my Ocado order yesterday. I am going out to eat at a cat cafe today for lunch and then seeing The Killers in concert at the O2. :)

Sunny for the moment, rain for tonight, maybe.

Oh, your toes Brambling, I winced as I read it.
My back is easier today, near normal after a bit of rest & some Cadbury's fruit & nut :)

Lunch, cheese & raw onion sarnie
Dinner, try again with the cold pork pie & salad bits.
It was cold yesterday so used up the LO pie & mash instead of planned meal

    Good morning everyone,
Ouch re the toes Brambling, glad your back has eased Farway.
I'm home alone for a couple of days as DS2 is away with work and Hector has gone to stay with DS1 & DIL2B (and Frank D ).  My not so exciting plans are to have a proper furniture moving hoover and mop through. It will take me ages as I can't do much at once but much easier when there is just me here.
LO pasta for lunch, dinner is tbc probably something like breaded haddock or fish fingers.

I remember that well, my cats were always soooo helpful when it was time to move a bit of furniture to clean underneath  :) but take care not to do too much.

Busy morning here, went first thing to put an X in a box, on to the hairdresser then jumped a bus to @sda as I needed some fresh F&V. Not long back and tucking into more of the tinned mackerel on toast.

Took some gammon out of the freezer for tonight which I'll have with some buttery cabbage & sweetcorn and a few potato wedges.

Almost finished my book so I think I'll have a quiet afternoon reading and maybe catch up on some of the tennis.

Thanks for all the crochet suggestions Bella Coco is the one the craft shop woman recommended and I've been using that - not quite into the "granny squares" yet  :D they remind me too much of the late 60's early 70's fashion  :o

Another long day of many meetings, looking forward to my week off next week 😀

More courgette, cannellini bean and grain salad for lunch.

Started watching tennis when I got in so grazed on olives and feta. Decided to go and vote before it got any later so have just finished eating salmon with herby cream cheese sauce, new potatoes and sugar snap peas.

    More tennis 🎾…

There was a turn around on the weather today, it was back to being Tee shirt weather 😎🌞

I met a friend in Chichester it was her birthday yesterday, I was hobbling as my bruised toes are on the other leg to my dodgy hip 🙄 so didn't know which leg to limp on, I had to wear sandals. I used my new senior railcard worth my objecting to the name for the £6 saving 😁 we did travel from cafe to restaurant back to another cafe and as we mentioned it was a birthday celebration when booking were given a free glass of bubbly 😁

I voted on the way hone and as it was close to my sisters house grabbed a cuppa

lunch out so just some cheese and crackers for dinner at 9pm

I am so tired after the past few days. I am just relaxing at home today. The cat cafe was really cute (as expected) and the concert was good too.

I need to vacuum and mop the floors too today, but apart from that I am just resting, starting another book and watching the football.

Forgot to say what I was eating! I had a vegan cheese and chutney roll and a cup of tea and now a cup of coffee to try and give myself some energy.

Weather now back to pacamac & galoshes, I assume same for over the border
The not knowing what leg to limp made me smile :)

The weather is really stew & dumpling weather, but I'm not having that
Lunch, last of the pork pie
Dinner, boil in bag kippers with nuked LO HM mash, maybe with frozen peas or small tin of beans
I've added on offer tins of mushy peas to my Asda order, I thought I had some, but memory is corrupted :/
