Had a lovely day out today which involved a fab lunch 😋

Just had a slice of toast and peanut butter with a cuppa while watching the tennis (trying to keep track of two matches at once 😅)

Wet and windy start to the day, I laid in bed listening to the winter weather! It rained on and off until after lunch

lazy day as I didn't need to go out.  LO salmon and watercress in a roll for lunch. i cooked for my sister tonight, a easy chicken en croute with a garlic/ cheese sauce YS from Sainsbury's finest with new potatoes and veg with fresh fruit for dessert.

I felt really chilly last night. I got into bed after the football ended to read my book.

I am just having a coffee. I did get a takeaway last night as my local restaurant was offering a free dessert with every order so I have leftovers for today for lunch. I will just add some veggies to make it healthier!

The weather looks okay today. I wanted to go to Coop to buy some fresh flowers.

Had a look around for chick n pineapple in SC recipes. Found one and did usual adaptation, will add, I think, some s/corn later and either serve with rice or shove some rice in SC with it,  will have a think.  Because it was quite a big tin of pineapple I made a cake,  again adaptation, and did in micro with, chunks in bottom and 2 cup cake size with a chunk on each. Once big one was set I turned into a dish and put them in AF to finish and give a nice brown look.  Experiment again.

Wet & windy again, a day for looking out & not going out

Exciting day of changing the bedding, and if weather improves a bit, sow some stumpy carrots in pots

Made a loaf overnight in BM, fresh bread for lunchtime sarnie.
    Lunch, cheese & tomato sarnie
Dinner, use up, mushroom omelette, and maybe some salad bits

I felt okay walking to Coop and back, but feel chilly at home. I just put on a jumper! The temp says 18.2 in my hallway.

I fancied peanut butter on toast when I got back. I'm just watching YouTube and then I will start another book.

Just taken cakes out,  look good enough, well there's only me,  may have some custard on one of small ones.   The big one is a little like an upside down one.

Dry so far after such an awful day yesterday, there is a threat of thundery showers with very black clouds looming up over the hills, keeping my fingers crossed it stays dry.

There's some leftover chicken for a lunchtime sandwich.

Tonight I'll do a monkfish curry with some peppers and sweet potato, brown rice and beansprouts.

    Good afternoon everyone,
    Scrummy looking cakes wumf. :)
Yesterday was probably the best day weather wise we've had for a while but back to showers today and it feels quite chilly.
DS2 and H returned minutes after I finished washing the windows! Hector was very pleased to see me, you would have thought he's been away for months lol! Poor love has a bit of a sore ear, looks as though he's scratched it on something and it's bit inflamed. It's been bathed and thankfully he's stopped scratching at so fingers crossed it settles.
More of the soup for lunch, I'll freeze what's left later. I took sirloin steaks out to defrost last night so dinner will we those with various veg, Ayrshire tatties and peppercorn sauce.

Mostly sunny and breezy here with the odd shower. Got two loads of washing dry this morning, could have done a third but didn’t want to push my luck 🙃

I’ve ironed anything that needed it from the washes, along with whatever was in the pile, while watching tennis this afternoon. I’ve also stripped and remade the bed, dusted and hoovered the bedroom, run a couple of errands and tidied up a bit but mostly a relaxed day.

Bought a couple of samosas on my day out yesterday so one of those with salad and pimped up coleslaw (added sriracha and lime juice) for lunch. Made chorizo, courgette and new potato traybake with chimichurri tonight 😋
