A grey day and  it started to rain just after 4pm, it gave me enough time to nearly fill the garden bin before starting and TBH I was glad of the excuse to finish

mushroom omelette for lunch using up some sad mushrooms.  My nephew is on holiday travelling in Europe so my sister came to dinner tonight, being a kind sister I cooked a half leg of lamb from the freezer brought at Easter when it was half price and did a roast dinner with berries for dessert 😋 I've just kicked her out now 😁

The rain Brambling speaks of is still here, chucked it down just now, very dull, cool & windy.

Caron finalising Tesco order, that's my job later, but Asda, yes, they have no bananas! But by the time I get sorted, hopefully all will be well.

Lunch, grilled cheese on toast + pickle
Dinner, Morries YS MFO Butter chicken meal, nuked, quick & easy

I had posh baked beans on toast yesterday for lunch with my friend at a restaurant and then a very unhealthy dinner of vegan chicken and chips for dinner.

I am quite hungry so I am going to have a yoghurt and fruit now. My cat has to go to the vet today, but I'm hoping it is nothing serious.

    Good morning everyone,
It's a wet and nasty day here, I've a fleece and socks on and I'm just warm enough. I think the stove will be lit latter.
I've more or less got up with the admin just a set of minutes to write up and a few personal bits to do so think I'll have a day off from it. I may (or more likely may not lol) tackle some ironing.
LO pasta for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.

I couldn't resist the crab claws in the fish shop this morning, great fun trying to get the meat out but well worth the effort. I had it very simply with some nice brown bread and butter for my lunch.

More fish tonight with a smoked haddock gratin.

  • Was very tempted to bring a hot water bottle to bed tonight 😂

Productive wfh day, the whole afternoon was spent on one incredibly tedious task, but it’s done, and it’s Friday!

Avocado and scrambled eggs on toast for lunch. Salmon in a cream cheese and pesto sauce with new potatoes and green beans tonight. Have also had a fake mini magnum 😉

Ham salad for lunch with potato salad.  LO lamb and vegetables with a jacket potato for dinner

A very wet morning so far, I had hoped to plant some broad beans but much to soggy right now.

Cooked breakfast for a change, use up mushrooms in omelette
I have a loaf in the bread maker, which should be in time for lunch

If loaf OK, lunch is a BLT
Dinner, Nice thick pork chop, grilled, on offer from Morries, with use up spuds, mashed and use up carrots plus some frozen peas to have some green on the plate

It feels quite chilly and it is raining. My dog went out to the garden and got a bit wet so she ran straight up back to my bed!

I just had a yoghurt and some sparkling water. I might have something tinned for brunch, like baked beans on toast.

    Good morning everyone,
I'm very glad I don't watch the footie, at least they scored!
Dry just now but we've a weather warning for rain and thunder this afternoon & evening. DS2 has taken Hector for his long walk just now while it's fine.
I've nothing much planned for today though want to look at some savings accounts as I have regular saver about to mature.
Home made burgers for dinner, I've a large pack of mince so will make a batch and freeze some for future meals.
Like Farway a BLT for lunch.
