Good morning everyone,
Poor DS2 has put his back out, he just managed to go for dinner with his Dad last night but was struggling. Thankfully it has eased a bit overnight and I've got on the gentle exercises I do for mine. He was sceptical but says they are helping.
We have Frank for a couple of days, he's definitely calming but it's still pretty full on so I'm not planning to anything I need to concentrate on.
Fridge bits for lunch and pea risotto for dinner,0 -
I might make a pizza today as I have peppers to use up as well as pineapple and jalapenos. I might go for a walk and make it when I get back as for some reason I don't feel hungry. 12 now so I can make it for the football.
When I went into the garden it felt quite warm.0 -
Pleasantly sunny day here, despite the forecast being for rain. I played safe and waited a while before putting my washing out hopefully we don't get a surprise shower.
Lunch was another use up - some end bits of cheese, salad, fruit and half a crusty roll.
Tonight more cheese - Halloumi, roast veg & couscous

I’m thinking about the Gruyère in the fridge and the fake mini magnums in the freezer…😉I could go for both of them, which reminds me I haven't bought gruyere or manchego for ages - must put them on the shopping list for next time.
It's not a very promising day here, thick cloud and I can see a heavy shower falling out at sea, if it continues to miss us I will be happy.
I have a large walk-in store room that needs a bit of tidying and reorganising so made an early start on that and if it stays dry I'll go out and do a bit of weeding in a small patch that is close to our block. It's laid out with some spring bulbs, roses, shrubs and some ground cover but with all the rain we've had the weeds are making a bit of an impact.
Lunch is some of last nights leftovers - spicy couscous, roast veg and I'll add feta, some rocket and basil.
Tonight more of the gammon stash I have in the freezer, half a tin of baked beans I froze ages ago and some AF chips.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Good morning everyone,
After a lovely sunny and quite warm day here yesterday it's back to cloud and low teens today. DS2 is still sore but improving thankfully.
Full house for dinner tonight as DS2 and DIL2B are picking up Frank and my nephew is off for a few days. I slow cooked a small gammon joint yesterday and will roast a chook to have with some salads. LO risotto for lunch.
