I felt far too hot yesterday and last night. I had a very bad nights sleep. Today seems much cooler and tomorrow when I'm out in London is meant to be hot again.

I was planning on going out for a meal today, but I looked through the fridge and stuff needs using up as I am at a hotel Sunday night and eating out tomorrow.

I have so many tomatoes so it will either be a big salad if I buy fresh basil, a roasted tomato soup or tomato based spaghetti. Or bruschetta...

Overnight rain, just a dampener, not proper stuff, supposed to get sunny later

It looks like summer arrived today 🌞😎 I'm sure soon we will soon be moaning about watering 😁

I knocked a bottle of sauce out of the fridge last night and found a bit of glass with my big toe this morning 🙄 better me than his lordship I don't want the vet bills.   Ot that bad but I ended up cleaning the floor again that's 3 times in 2 days as I did it yesterday morning.

Amazing how glass gets everywhere once it breaks, and I've already been watering!

I have loads of limp celery, so it's soup time, and I have some blue cheese, sort of Stilton, to go in as well

    Lunch, mini pork pie
Dinner, if soup is good, then that + croutons.
If soup is bleeurgh, then it's salad

    Good morning everyone,
Back luck re the broken glass Brambling, it's so hard to get it all found afterwards.
Our plans for a family bbq this evening have had to be put back to next weekend as both my sis and DS1 are poorly with horrible colds. I had defrosted a leg of lamb which has been marinating overnight so will oven cook and freeze it and it can just get a quick char next Saturday. I've also made a walnut and red pepper dip which apparently can be frozen so fingers crossed . I'll see what it's like when defrosted and can always make a fresh batch. Now pondering what to have for dinner?

Shame about the BBQ Caronc but there does seem to be a few different virus' doing the rounds.

I needed to top up on some F&V so jumped a bus to @ldi mid-morning and picked up nibbles stuff for lunch.

For tonight I've got a chorizo and white bean stew almost done on the stove not sure what I'll have with it but got loads of veg to choose from.

I hope the family recover quickly Caronc and the food freezes ok

There was heavy rain overnight and it was stormy this morning, I had tickets for a garden festival and unwisely decided to leave the waterproof in the car, I did spend awhile showing 'interest' in very expensive Japanese secateurs (£159) so I was under shelter 😁 they were very nice but way outside my price range and I tend to lose nice things in the garden! I did listen to a couple of interesting talks one by the estate manager of Lost Gardens of Heligan which I wished was longer as he was very interesting but he was limited to 50 mins.  By the time I came out of the last talk at 2 the sun was shining and it was a lovely afternoon, I may have come home and had a snooze

Lunch was Greek street food very tasty but messy to eat 😋 I brought a piece of lime and courgette cake which I had for dinner with a cuppa and finished some raspberries

Sunny again, and for the rest of the week, allegedly.

A bit of pottering required in the garden later, while the sun shines.

Lunch, another mini pork pie and see what else I fancy
Dinner, salad today, I've opened a small tin of ham, so that plus salad + nuked jacket potato

It is sunny again today. I am just packing my bag to see Taylor Swift tonight!

I had a few crackers with Flora and a smoothie made with banana, , soya milk, PB and cocoa powder. I am eating out today for lunch and dinner.

    Good afternoon everyone,
Thank goodness we postponed the bbq as my sis has tested positive for Covid, after feeling a tad better yesterday she's floored again today. DS1 seems to just have a nasty cold, he's feeling better today and is dropping Frank off later but will do a garden drop off.
Dull and not hugely warm today, I'd like to get some bits done in the garden so hopefully it will stay dry.
Fridge bits for lunch. Pork chops, veg and new potatoes for dinner.

Hope your sister recovers soon Caronc, it was the flu-like symptoms that were worse for me than the cough.

Nice sunny day here again although we still have a fresh breeze coming off the sea. Gave the bathroom a good going over, even the shower curtain got a wash and on the line to dry.

Lunch was a small portion of the chorizo & bean stew leftover from last night.

Brambling's lunch yesterday got me inspired, so I have some pork souvlaki marinating for later which I'll have with pitta, cabbage & carrot slaw and a tomato and basil salad.

Covid the gift that keeps on giving, I hope your sister is feeling better Caronc

i hope you enjoyed the concert Wednesday

A warm day but a little overcast rather than sunny.  Nothing much done here other than a trip to Sainsburys for petrol as it's the cheapest in town a a few bits and bobs, nothing much was needed.

Coronation chicken wrap for lunch. And on a chicken theme chicken, leek and mushroom risotto for dinner with green veg I halved the portion of rice to make 2 portions and seem to have ended up with 2.5 🙄 there will be LOs will make a couple of lunches

I just finished dinner and my eldest sister called so we had a lovely hour catch up
