Went in freezer for chicken strips but got beef strips first so went onto new search engine thingy (AI) to look for ideas. Came up with quite a few so am doing a hot chilli sauce (there was recipe but I using a bottle) and then with salady veg putting into small wraps. Doing in AF. Like the new search called CHATGPT grandson told me of it, you can ask supplementary questions, he used it at uni. Worth a try and FREE.

Good morning everyone,
Hello wumph, I've not used CHATGPT to search for recipes but there's few other sites where you can type in what you have and get suggestions for dishes that can be useful.
Summer seems to have legged it, it's grey, none too warm and very windy!
LO pasta for lunch. Dinner is tbc, I'm CFO tonight so will decide later. After a few days of quite rich eating it will be something simple with lots of veg.0 -
I had some vegan chicken wings I hadn't had before for dinner last night. There were 8 in a box so I had 4 with salad and chilli mayo, but I cooked them all in the air fryer and wrapped the other 4 in foil for the fridge.
I planned to have two more in a wrap for breakfast, but realised I had forgotten to take the wraps out of the freezer last night! I had two with a salad and coleslaw just now.
It was far too hot yesterday. It was 27 in my living room while I was watching the football. It feels cooler in my house now, but I'm not sure what it is like outside.0 -
N2BT I had to look up banana scones and have been eyeing up my blackening bananas all afternoon 🤔
Better weather today as it's nice but nowhere near so hot. I had a really bad night sleep last night as I was too hot so was headachy most of the day. My sister borrowed my car a couple of days this week as someone had knocked and smashed her wing mirror, luckily they left details so I only went as far as dropping her off at the garage this afternoon
Annoyingly I drop one of my 'good' dessert / cereal bowls tonight putting LO potatoes in the fridge, no idea how as one minute in hand the next on floor in pieces 😡 the pattern has been discontinued so after much online searching I found a department store in Galway which had a couple, (I could find the slightly larger ones very expensive on eBay but not the size or price I wanted). Luckily they deliver to UK and were half price due to being discontinued so that covered the expensive shipping which was the same as the bowl! I just need to be careful with the rest of the set 🙄
Fish finger sandwich with tartare sauce for lunch. I portioned up my salmon side into eight and froze six of them, salmon for dinner with jersey royals and asparagus with a portion of salmon cooked for lunch tomorrowLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Another long day of many meetings plus trying to do urgent tasks during or in between 🙄
More Greek mezze for lunch, remembered the pitta bread today. Tuna steak Niçoise salad tonight with some cold new potatoes LO from last night.
Cooler but still pleasant here today, has got quite breezy this evening though 🤔0 -
Brambling I used this recipe,
Banana Scones! Turn spotty bananas into a tasty family treat! (family-friends-food.com)
no eggs, no sugar, the liquidised bananas bring it together. It makes a very soft dough so rather than mess around cutting out individual scones I formed a round and marked wedges before baking. The cinnamon makes them a darker colour but taste fab
We've had rain overnight so its much fresher this morning. On my early morning walk (gives me uncluttered thinking time) decided the task today was "Budgeting & Planning" I've been a bit lazy over the past year and there are a couple of projects I'm thinking of so its time to review everything.
There are still some hearty soups in the freezer so thought I would take the chance whilst the temp is below average and use some of them up, today its lentil.
Tonight it's Prawn kebabs and a Mediterranean couscous.

I think I must have had a 24 hour bug as I felt ill after breakfast yesterday. I took a 3 hour nap in the afternoon and then got up had some fruit and water and went back to sleep about 9 until 9 this morning. I feel okay today which is lucky as I am off out tonight to an outdoor concert.
I felt ravenous when I woke up this morning so I had wholemeal toast with Flora and a large iced coffee.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
Yesterday was like winter including gale force wind. Thankfully it's eased this morning but a rubbish day for the last day of term!
Forecast looks drier if not warmer tomorrow so hoping we can at least use the bbq if not actually eat outside.
Tesco order due later minus a bag of spuds as apparently there was "no suitable alternative!
I ended up roasting chicken thighs last night and there LOs so chicken salad wrap for lunch. Tonight is tbc but probably veggie pasta.0 -
Very dull and a bit chilly, such a contrast to the last few daysNeed2bthrifty said:Brambling I used this recipe,

I'll follow your example and make as one giant roundLunch, use up mushrooms in omeletteDinner, was going to be salad, but weather has turned, so last pasty, AF chips & LO beansEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1 -
Still pleasantly warm and sunny here. Very busy office day but did manage to leave at a reasonable time, although I haven’t done much since I got home…
End of the tapas/mezze bits for lunch with a pitta bread. Simple tuna, green bean, cherry tomato and pesto pasta tonight, with a 🍷
Glad it’s the weekend, has been a long short week!0
