Thanks N2BT I may make the scones tomorrow it would be a waste of bananas if i don't 😋I woke in the night cold at 3.30am, it seems I needed more than just a duvet cover 🙄 it was cooler and gray when i walked into town before 1pm but when I came out of the hair dressers it was tee shirt weather again. I picked up a pair of sandals half price so it will probably rain until next year now!
I came back via my sister for a cuppa and played with little one and her trains, she is recycling her uncles' train track from the loft. Then I set up my elderly friends new TV box, I had my instructions that I had to do it so she could record Shetland tonight 🙄 she was generous when she called this morning in saying she didn't care when I did it as long as it was before 9pm tonight!
I didn't want the salmon I had planned for lunch, it didn't feel like salad weather, so i had beans on toast for lunch. Dinner was monkfish coconut curry using some YS fish from the freezer (£3 instead of £8.50 in Waitrose🤑) with rice and purple sprouting broccoli. There was enough fish for two portions done for tomorrow but I have loads of sauce left as I forgot to half that part I've split into 3 portions and froze it will be nice with prawns or cod it turned out really nice and quick I had no beans so added sugar snap peas and a slightly wrinkled nectarine.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I woke up feeling dehydrated today and so I am having a big bowl of grapes and a glass of water with a whole lemon sliced into it. I think it was all the walking to and from the concert last night, although it has been a lot less hot, thankfully.

It was lovely and sunny first thing but starting to cloud over a bit now, don't think rain is forecast but who knows.
Productive day yesterday - freezer inventory done sufficient variety in there to avoid doing an online shop for a couple of weeks. The basics of a two week meal plan drafted, there is wriggle room for being spontaneous and creativeMonthly budget drawn up which I'll review on the 15th make sure I'm on track. Only thing left to do is a bit of research into regular savings accounts.
Lunch today is l/o couscous and meatloaf salad.
Tonight its Sirloin steak, chips, pearl onions & peas.

Good morning everyone,
We'll it's dry if not warm so hoping to bbq later though we'll probably eat indoors.
We're having a mezze style meal. We're providing lamb, herby roast spuds, freekeh salad, pea/mint/feta dip and red pepper and walnut dip. All HM. DS1 & DIL2B are bringing baba ghanoush and HM pita and my sis Greek salad and tzatziki. I'll see how the day goes and might make some hummus. Fridge bits for lunch.

Lazy day here, felt exhausted after a long short week.
I’ve meal planned and food shopped, done some voluntary admin stuff, bits of tidying and watched tennis and Glastonbury.
Avocado and scrambled eggs on toast for lunch. Made a peach, Parma ham and feta salad tonight 😋
Kitchen cleared up, garden watered and sat watching Coldplay with a 🍷0 -
Another warm day here. I went into town after lunch with my sister and a mutual friend for a coffee and to look around some of the venues on our local artist trail. My sister and I then gossiped until 7pm at her house, my nephew is away for the weekend. His lordship was not happy about his late dinner 🐈⬛
Salmon and watercress salad for an early lunch. LO monkfish curry with purple sprouting for dinner

I read another one of my library books yesterday and then watched the football. I just had toasted crumpets with Flora for breakfast along with some sparkling water.
I am getting a pedicure today as I last had one 6 weeks ago now. It looks like it might rain later which is annoying as you have to wear sandals afterwards in case it smudges.2025 GOALS

Dull start with sun promised later, another restless night with the weather, but nothing planned for the day, except read the meters
, so not a problem
Made a loaf in the machine, which has not risen as much as expected, I've read weather / humidity can affect the result, it's edible, just a tad denser than normalAsda order completed, delivery WednesdayGone mad and ordered some frozen posh scampi, so along with never having heard a Taylor Swift song, or watched a Kardashian I've also never eaten scampiLunch, dense bread sarnie, filling TBDDinner, TBD, maybe a freezer rummageEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Oooh I love baba ghanoush, haven't made it for ages - that'll be an aubergine added to my shopping list. Hope the weather is better with you Caronc very cloudy here and not much promise of it getting better.
Went for a walk early as the town is likely to be busy with a couple of events going on, stopped at the "hole in the wall" as I'm working a strict budget for personal and top-up grocery spends this month, so when its gone its gone.
Meatloaf, salad, tomato, cucumber & olives for lunch. Spag bol and green beans from freezer stock for tonight.
