    Good morning everyone,
I'm very glad I don't watch the footie, at least they scored!
I watched with my head in my hands  :s and thanks to Germany we got a goal  .

It's been a nice dry morning but think there is rain due later. Caught up on some chores stopping occasionally to watch Trooping the Colour.

Freezer dive produced celery soup and toast for lunch and filled pasta & broad beans in tom sauce, half a garlic baguette for tonight.

The football was bad last night. I just went out to buy some wine so I missed the very start of this match.

I had a veg beef burger with grilled asparagus and a tomato salad for brunch.

I have some strawberries that I will have with the last of the vanilla ice cream later. I'm not sure about dinner yet.

  • Fairly quiet day here, has rained on and off…did a load of washing and put the heating on in one room to try to get it dry.

Out to a beauty appointment mid morning then did a small Lidl shop, it was heaving in there by then.

Free Lidl sourdough bread with cheese and salad bits for lunch.

Voluntary admin this afternoon, caught up on a few bits I never seem to get to.

Sausage, pepper and mozzarella gnocchi bake with broccoli tonight 😋

I'm not a football fan and intend to spend the next few weeks avoiding it 😁

we had a lot of rain overnight and it was quite windy to, with the rain we also had this morning my poor peonies flowers took a battering.  I went to the local theatre with a friend for a matinee performance f a play within a play where the cast start off a member down during a performance of the importance of being Ernest and 'borrow' a member of the audience by the end of the play at one stage the cast are are all members of the audience as one by one the real performers need replacing.  It was very funny I'm just glad I wasn't picked I would have declined.

lamb and salad wrap for lunch.  I left my car at my sister and was invited to dinner when I got back there, little one and her mum where there and I was instructed to play as soon as I got there, no time for a cuppa 😁

Still windy this morning, but at least the rain has stopped for the moment, I do need to get my broad beans planted ASAP.

Expecting DS some time this morning for Father's Day visit, so I'll take the opportunity to rope him in to sort out a heavy, wonky, plant pot. That is beyond my capabilities these days.

Lunch, unsure due to DS visit, not expecting to go out for lunch or anything but some eatable goodies may arrive
Dinner, the other thick on offer Morries pork chop, with frozen chips & maybe beans.
Last night's twin chop was excellent, so a repeat is hoped for.

I usually enjoy the football during the World Cup/Euros, but I don't watch it any other time. I used to like tennis, but got bored of it.

I just had a yoghurt and some sparkling water again.

I fancy roast potatoes today. I will see what to have with them.

    Good morning everyone,
    Rain again today.
Pooch sitting Frank for a couple of nights as DS1 and DIL2B are off to see the Foo Fighters tomorrow. Apart from that not much is happening. CFO tonight as DS2 is going out for dinner with his Dad. I've a tub of chicken & chorizo stew defrosting for dinner. Bits and bobs of LOs for lunch.

It is nice and sunny now, quite a change from this morning.

I had air fried potato wedges and Quorn pieces for brunch. I need something green for dinner. I have a bag of mangetout in the fridge so I might do a noodle stir fry for dinner.

Me too, I enjoyed the Switzerland/Hungary match it was much more entertaining than the previous nights.

We've had really heavy rain all morning so the run-off from the fields into the river is making the sea a bit mucky.

Feta & pomegranate salad with a couple of crispbreads for lunch.
Pan fried turkey steak, cabbage & peas for tea, I'll probably do a sauce of some kind, not quite sure what yet.

Has been a much better day than forecast here, this afternoon was beautiful 🌞

So, washing has been line dried and I’ve been out for a little cycle plus done a bit of deadheading in the garden. I’ve also stripped and remade the bed, dusted and hoovered and done a mountain of washing up 🙃

Roast celery and chickpea salad with soft boiled egg for lunch. Just had a yummy potato, chorizo and sweetcorn hash topped with crispy fried egg and sriracha, served with garlic sourdough toast 😋

    Back to the tennis 🎾
