I have two whole boxes of tomatoes in the fridge as I accidentally ordered two and they are dated the 24th of May so I bought some fresh basil and I'm going to make a batch of roasted tomato soup today.

I will have a smoothie in a minute and then make the soup while I'm in the kitchen and have it with bread for lunch. I woke up late today as I was reading last night so I will have my breakfast and lunch almost back to back!

    Good morning everyone,

"111 by Modou" yesterday was gorgeous. Only small niggle was the background music was slightly loud for me but not so bad as to ask for it to be turned down. The weather though was shocking and driving on the motorway over the moors tricky at points with lots of spray and of course the idiots that don't have the sense to slow down a bit.
Today DS2 is off to walk the pooches with DS1 and their Dad, thankfully the torrential rain has stopped.
Between having the family here for dinner on Saturday and going out yesterday I'm ready for a quiet one before we have both Frank and Ari staying over on Tuesday.
Fridge bits for lunch and spicy mince & chickpea stew with veg and naan for dinner.

It was a lovely morning here but the sea haar moved in just after midday, its still pleasantly warm but I feel a good blast of thundery rain would sort it out.

Caprese salad & crusty bread for lunch and a very lazy puttanesca pasta for tea.

I checked out the restaurant website Caronc and the menus sound amazing, good reviews too.

  • Another lovely morning out with visiting family, did involve garden centre spending 😉

Weather much better than forecast, just the odd shower while we were out and it has rained a bit this evening, which saved me watering.

Late lunch was the rest of the beetroot and yoghurt dip with grilled halloumi and toasted pitta. Made a yummy chorizo and sweetcorn risotto tonight, served with the end of the broccoli.

Wind & rain this morning, awful in fact, but it was fine yesterday over DS's for which I'm grateful.

Being so dank out means my lunch of bacon sarnie will be extra warming & tasty
Dinner, not so sure about. Cold, LO roast chicken will feature, rest? Dunno, chips & beans?

I just had some slices of baguette with Flora. It is rainy and dull here, not cold at least.

    Good morning everyone,
Absolutely tipping it down here, I hope it eases this afternoon as I'm heading to the hairdressers and also need to run some errands.
Doggy day care (lol) has commenced as Ari arrived last night rather than this evening as originally planned. Frank arrives later, I'm not expecting to get much done tomorrow so must crack on today!
LOs for lunch. Chicken & veg oven bung in for dinner.

Damp here most of the day, although it’s just starting to brighten up. Not cold but hasn’t felt exactly warm either!

Usual Tuesday wfh (the rest of the week goes a bit funny). Much as I love a bank holiday, they do mess with the working week and I feel like I’m constantly on catch up…

LO risotto with a bit of mixed salad leaf for lunch. Will do beans with toast in a bit (swimming later). I’ve just prepped tomorrow’s packed lunch and fruit for a couple of days.

i realised when i got to bed last night that i had forgotten to post and was too lazy to get back up  :)

Another wet day here typical school holiday weather! His lordship allowed me a lie in this morning and I was late up for me  :) My nephew had done some heavy gardening yesterday and filled my garden bin, i had hoped to do some gardening today but even if he was prepared to prune a tree in the rain i'm not  :)

A couple of chores completed out of the house where the rain didn't matter.  I have brought a basic laptop in the JL sale which will cover the things i need it to do, for the most part my tablet works for me.  I caught up on Dr Who this afternoon and did some reading, I usually like Dr Who but completely lost the plot of this one may need my nephew to explain i feel like i missed something

Copying Farways idea of a bacon sandwich i had a bacon and egg sandwich for lunch.  LO chicken for dinner with vegetables and noodles, a fridge rummage type meal

Sun back for today, yesterday was a complete wash-out, needed the light on most of the day it was so gloomy
not that it matted too much because I was felling a bit shivery and lethargic,  maybe from the Covid top up?
People I know say this one has that sort of lingering effect.
Over whatever it was now though after a good night's sleep

If the weather gets a bit warmer, I may potter and tie up my outside tomatoes.

Lunch, use up manky mushrooms omelette
Dinner. LO pork pie, salad & use up to make space frozen AF chips.
