    Good morning everyone,
All three pooches are here and so far it's fairly calm. Thankfully the weather is better today so Hector and Frank are rumbling about in the garden while Ari snoozes.
Hair now back to a jaw length tapered bob, that will last me for a while.
LO chicken with salad for lunch. Pasta with chorizo, pesto and tomato sauce for dinner.

I have only had a can of coke this morning, very unhealthy, but I had a craving for it.

I just saw a recipe for a watermelon and feta cheese salad which looked nice and I have vegan Greek cheese in the fridge so I might buy a watermelon today. I will probably just have my usual wholemeal toast for breakfast.

Someone near me keeps playing house/dance music. It is not overly loud, but I just keep hearing this repetitive beat!

I don't know if anyone watches Come Dine With Me - Professionals, but it is my two local vegan restaurants on there. Tomorrow, Thursday at 5 on Channel 4.

I haven't ever watched it (although I have watchd the normal Come Dine With Me show) but I am going to watch that episode. :)

Yesterday started off badly with the express bus into the City running half an hour late and things got annoying and frustrating as the day went on. CBA to cook when I got home so grazed on some fruit, salad, crisps and choc  :|

Trying to be a bit more healthy today I've had an egg & tomato sandwich for lunch and tonight I'll make salmon fishcakes and have it with some roast veg that is starting to look a bit sad.

not that it matted too much because I was felling a bit shivery and lethargic,  maybe from the Covid top up?

One of my sister was complaining that this jab made her ill, she had similar issues with the first one.  Hope you feel better

Wednesday a friend was telling me tonight to try watermelon and feta salad, I have both in the house so may try this week

my sister and I were going to brunch at the Swedish cafe in town but unfortunately it was closed for the owners holiday  :( we walked back into town and had a full English 😋.  We had a quick mooch in M&S and both brought a couple of T shirts and some summer trousers , I shared my Sparks vouchers which finished today and had 15% off the tops and 20% off the trousers 😁 I also let her use my vouchers 10% off fruit and salad

No need for lunch and I only needed a snack of cheese and crackers for a late dinner

  • Already confused about what day it is 🙃

Today started off as my usual offsite meeting but then went into the office for some different meetings…

Couscous with tuna, cherry tomatoes, capers and roasted peppers for lunch. Tuna steak with lentils, spinach and sun dried tomatoes tonight. Hmm, double tuna day 🤔

Weather is undecided, sun & showers so far, hope it keeps relatively fine because DS & family are up in London today, usual museums & sightseeing stuff I expect.

Running out of milk so may get to Morries tomorrow for a mooch & milk
Lunch, toast & grilled cheese again
Dinner. Just taken delivery of Farm Foods frozen RM try out offer, four for a tenner. I'll try one of those tonight,
They look OK frozen & £2.50, not sure if value is there for over a fiver each normal price though

The watermelon salad was delicious! It was vegan Greek style cheeze, cucumber, tomatoes and watermelon with balsamic glaze and olive oil.

    Good morning everyone,
Dry just now but rain due this afternoon. Frank went home yesterday evening, he's definitely calming down a little. Ari goes home tonight.
Grocery order to finalise and then it's admin.
Salady bits for lunch. Yoghurt lamb curry with rice and naan. I prepped the meat (shanks) yesterday evening and it's been marinating overnight in the yoghurt/spice mix so I'm hoping it's tender and tasty.

I just remembered you can fry watermelon. I did it a few years ago when it went viral online. You slice it up and fry it like you would a steak. I think I used soya sauce or tamari when I did it and it was surprisingly nice! I had it with rice and veggies like a stir fry.

Much better start to my day today, the express bus was only running 20mins late. Had a good mooch around but have to say I'm kinda shocked at the price of some sandals these days  :o

Reheating a leftover fishcake from last night for lunch and a freezer rake produced a portion of pork stroganoff which I'll have with some new potatoes, and green beans.

I love a watermelon salad too Wednesday and often use this one by Nigella, Watermelon, Feta and Black Olive Salad | Nigella's Recipes | Nigella Lawson  really enjoy the taste of limes with it. Cant say that I've ever thought to fry it though  B)
