Lot of low cloud today and very much doubt if the sun will get through, although that may be a blessing; there's quite a bit of seaweed washed ashore and drying in the sun it tends to give off a sulphurous pong which has the "in about comers" complaining - me it evokes memories of my childhood playing among the rockpools.

Hope the bbq goes well Caronc, it will be nice to enjoy the outdoor space after the hard work your boys put in.

it has been a lovely sunny day down south 🌞😎

I was woken up about 1am by what I thought was the cat making strange noises but realised when I moved to turn on the light to check him that I had woken myself up wheezing! I felt fine I was just rather noisy and awake for a hour 🙄

I drove out to Borde Hill gardens late morning which is near where I use to work (when we had a office 🙂) nice wander around in the sun and a tea and slice of Bakewell for lunch 😋 they have some nice events coming up during the summer so I will go back

I popped around to my sister where she was entertaining the little one and her mum in the garden, couple of cuppas and a donut so not a healthy day 🫣 and a lecture from younger nephew about sun cream  :*

I didn't fancy LO roast for dinner so made crispy lamb in the AF and made a wrap with some plum sauce, spring onions and cucumber a la crispy duck pancakes and followed by a bowl of English strawberries

  • Beautiful day here too. Had a nice mix of domestic tasks and garden pottering but have definitely achieved stuff today!

A cake for lunch day is a very good day, Brambling 😉

Scrambled eggs and a very average avocado on toast for lunch for me. Cooked a burger on the bbq this evening and had with salad and sriracha potato salad.

Lunch and fruit all prepped and packed for tomorrow’s office day.

Morning All, looks like another fine day ahead. Had a lazy kind of day yesterday, caught up on some shredding and other paperwork but feel in need of a good long walk in the sun today.

Easy day in the kitchen mostly putting together small portions from the freezer and compiling my online shopping list.

Ah, that smell can be overpowering at times :o . I well remember Bognor for that, and the tidal mudflats here reek at low tide and hot sun. But it's wildlife innit, they're a bird sanctuary.

Lunch, corned beef & tomato sarnie
Dinner, more salad & LOs. Last of the C & O flan, plus maybe corned beef hash with use up LO mash

I just had my usual toast and Flora.

I know I am having a burger tonight when Tesco arrives. I bought some relish and vegan cheese slices to have on it too. It looks nice weather again. I am going to get my pedicure done today as hopefully now we are going to have sunny weather.

    Good morning everyone,
Oh yes the smell of seaweed on a sunny day!!
The sun broke through yesterday and it was nice temperature outdoors neither too hot or chilly. The bbq went well though we over catered so leftovers were distributed between the three households. DS1 cooked gorgeous bavette steak with a wild garlic butter. He brined the steaks for 48 hours and they were beautifully tender. Time got away from us so we never got the baskets filled but it was a lovely, relaxing afternoon and evening. It wasn't a late one but the wine was plentiful so I've had a lazy start to the day. I think we were all needing the chance to just kick back and chill for a while.  Everything was washed up afterwards so just need to put it away and clean out the bbq today.
LOs for lunch and dinner today.

Turned into a lovely day here, sunny and warm, it really does make everything feel better 🌞

Beetroot, feta and walnut couscous for lunch. Off to the local theatre this evening so just about to do a quick tuna and green bean pesto pasta for early tea.

My last work week, my last day is the 31st but next week is holiday  🙂 although my boss not so subtly asked was I going away or just using the holiday up 🤔 I was caught on the hop so didn't lie, we shall see but I've no plans to work!

Lunch was a repeat of yesterday dinner, LO lamb crisped in the AF in a wrap with plum sauce, spring onions and cucumber.  I adjusted my dinner plan as I didn't fancy salmon and made a Moroccan carrot and lentil salad

    Good morning everyone,
Goodness Brambling, final countdown now and your last working "hump" day tomorrow. It must feel odd!
Sunny here just now but rain is due later. Unusually for a Tuesday my sis isn't coming over, we are going out to a local pub tomorrow night for dinner with her and my nephew instead.
I need to catch up on admin and then depending on what the weather is doing will either head to the garden or start to declutter the glory hole that is the linen cupboard.
Bbq LOs are pretty much eaten so fridge bits for lunch. JO's salmon in a bag with sweet potatoes and veg for dinner.
