I enjoyed it and had it again today  :) - good handful of rocket, sliced strawberries, chiffonade of basil, generous sprinkling of black pepper, drizzle of balsamic and a side order of salami & crusty bread. I ended using strawberries because the SM melons and nectarines were rock hard and didn't smell or feel anywhere near being ripe.

I did think it would need something peppery 🤔

JKS I do like specific fruit with certain cheeses like peach or nectarine with feta, pear or fig with blue cheese, Brie and grapes etc

my door was fixed lunchtime I was pleased it wasn't just a case of him screwing the latch back in 🙂 he did take it apart 😁 it does lock a lot smoother now as well

We escaped work just after 4pm, it was just the boss and me this afternoon and his daughter is home from uni.  I popped to Waitrose after 6pm I did want some pomegranate molasses and thought they were a good bet, unfortunately not 🙁 I did stock up on some good YS meat goods so freezer emptying isn't going to happen soon  :s

Cheese and gammon wrap for lunch.  LO chicken shawarma and rice for dinner, there are still LOs

Quite dull here with rain maybe later. With that in mind, I've taken a Pukka pie out to defrost for dinner.

Need to finalise my Asda list later, the Rewards have clocked up so using £18 rewards towards the bill, very handy for zero effort by me. Unlike the coupons, I no longer get from Marks or Waitrose.

Lunch, more toast, but no cheese because I'm getting fed up with that. I'll have a rummage &  think of something else.
Dinner, the Steak Pukka pie, with pot of mash, boiled carrots and cabbage. Hardly nouveau cuisine, but it'll do.

Dull weather here after yesterday being lovely and sunny. I thought it was Sunday when I woke up.

I ate so much yesterday! I had seitan wings and garlic bread for a starter and a black bean stir fry with udon noodles for my main lunch. Then I had a strawberry milkshake on the beach and then a pizza for dinner in Wetherspoons in the evening!

I am having a smoothie for breakfast, My dog is back early today so she should be here any minute. I'm going to make a huge salad for lunch with probably something from the freezer.

    Good morning everyone,
It's a gorgeous day here, DS2 is away to the dump to offload my decluttering that isn't fit for the charity shop to the clothes recycling bin and to offload the debris from recent garden work. He looked out the garden furniture yesterday so I'll get it and the bbq scrubbed ready to use tomorrow. This evening when the kitchen is a bit cooler I'll make burgers and get the chicken spatchcocked and marinating.
Last night I made a bung it in crustless quiche for dinner, lots left so will have a portion for lunch with salad. CFO tonight, I'll see what I fancy later.

The furry alarm clock woke me the usual week day time this morning 🐈‍⬛ we had words! But I got my revenge by putting his flea drops on this afternoon when he was sleeping 💤

Trip into town after lunch for a hair cut and luckily the threatened rain held off, I had parked in town rather than walking from my sister because it was forecasted

Small portion of chicken shawarma for lunch the rest was frozen,  I pressure cooked a YS half shoulder of lamb for dinner, it wasn't very big but only £3  with tenderstem broccoli, jersey royals and runner beans.

Forgot to post before bed last night.

Nothing weather most of the day but then the sun came out and it really warmed up mid afternoon. Just grocery shopping, pottering and the odd errand yesterday, struggled to get motivated for much else. Hopefully the sun will spur me on today 🙃

Cheese and egg salad with lovely fresh free bread for lunch and spaghetti puttanesca with broccoli last night.

Up early again, a bit of a chill in the air before the sun has got going. Supposed to be warm later, but it looks breezy out there right now.

Decided it's another salad day anyway, regardless of weather.

Lunch, more toast, but no cheese topping today
Dinner, LO cheese & O flan, baked spud + salad

I had thick white bread with Flora and Marmite for breakfast.

I made potato salad yesterday so I will have the leftovers for lunch and I'm going to make a corn, tomato and jalepeno salad to go with it and I might have a burger as well.

    Good afternoon everyone,
Hazy here so far but it's supposed to burn off later, I do hope so but as long as it doesn't pour we'll bbq anyway.
DS1 and DIL2B are arriving soon, dogs will be walked after lunch and then the kids are going to set up the wall planters and baskets for me so I can pot up at my leisure. Food is pretty much organised just salads to sort out. I'm looking forward to our first outdoor gathering of the year. :D
