It’s a beautiful blue sky and sunny morning here, chilly though, not sure how low the temp dropped last night but I waited a while for the bathroom to heat up a bit before having my shower.
Fresh fruit for breakfast, cold meat & tomato sandwich for lunch and a Thai style chicken curry and rice for tea.

Cold but no snow here, we very rarely get any of note here. I have had the heating on low all day working from home and been ok. Nipped out when I’d finished before it got dark to get some petrol, it felt very cold standing at the pump. About to brave going swimming in a minute 🥶
LO pasta for lunch (added a dollop of cream cheese when I warmed it up) and beans with toast tonight.0 -
Snow free here as well and the snow forecasted for tomorrow is no more although it's only meant to reach 2c 🥶🥶 it was 0c when I went out at 4pm today I was glad I timed my heating to come on before I got back
i went to the doctor surgery this afternoon as I needed a referral for a X-ray on my hip, I didn't see the doctor but can't remember the long title of the person I did see. She started by telling me they don't just do X-ray these days and it's generally not the joint but after putting me through my paces agreed it was needed and left me hobbling tonightas I parked in Sainsburys I popped in for milk and a few bits and although I swore not to was led astray by some really good YS offers including £6.75 for a £16 piece of beef, £1 for two sea bass fillets and 20p mushrooms. The gaps in the freezer have been filled

last of the LO beef joint for lunch in a part bake roll with salad. Salmon risotto for dinner with peas and sweetcorn

Good morning everyone,
Excellent YS haul Brambling, good a referral for an x-ray has been approved.
Bright but very cold and icy this morning. Yesterday was a grey and bitterly cold but no snow just some lumpy rain at times.
I'm moving easier today so hope to get a bit more done.
LOs for lunch and white bean and chicken chilli for dinner.0 -

Dull and very cold, like Brambling the snow we may have had never arrived, checking the radar it's still with the French so we may miss it entirely. DGD up near Aberdeen is thigh deep in it though, but she is on an exposed estate. The Asda delivery arrived on time, one no show of fresh thyme and three subs, all good subs again though. Clover for own brand spread, back bacon rashers for cooking bacon bits and just a flavour swap with the jelly. Same cost, just different items.Fridge full again but still have some freezer space.Lunch, marmite on toast, topped with sliced fresh tomatoDespite the weather, it's salad for dinner. I've taken a salmon fillet out to defrost, and “new” baby spuds were on offer, so some of them along with salad bits will be tasty, and a healthy change from my fried meals of late.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I was just about to walk to Tesco, but didn't realise how cold it was until I stepped outside! I just walked to the nearest shop instead.
I had a blueberry and banana smoothie this morning and I had a toasted pitta with Quorn ham and avocado when I got in. My house doesn't feel that cold, but we had the heating on for hours yesterday.
I might put it on for an hour and then wait to put it on again when the sun sets.2025 GOALS

Jealous of those YS bargains Brambling!Couldn’t get properly warm all morning at my meeting location 🥶
Was glad to get into the office and have my Thai sweet potato soup and toasted pitta.
Two sets of temporary lights on the commute so didn’t seem to be in long before it was time to go swimming.
Have just wolfed down pork, veg and cashew egg fried rice.0 -
It was cold enough for the heated throw tonight when I cam back in at 8pm having been out a hour I couldn't get warm. His lordship went from being sound asleep on the back of a arm chair to claim ownership of the throw 😁
LO salmon risotto for lunch. Dinner was a burger in a bun with salad, HM coleslaw and AF wedgesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
Very cold with bright blue sky, it never did snow here despite the dire warningsCats certainly know when they are on to a good thing, Brambling, cat heaven there.Made a rapid loaf in the BM first thing.Rapid loaves are denser I find, but I quite like that & the firmer texture. And tried out the pork joint in the new pressure cooker, removed the rind first and made crackling in the AFBoth still cooling, so will find out if it is a workable solution come lunchtimeLunch, all being well, sliced pork from P cooker with salad bits sarnie. Sample of crackling from AFDinner, all being well it's full on roast spuds, parsnips, carrots etc with the PC pork & use up maybe passed it Christmas Brussels & broccoli.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Cute cat.
My cats and dog seemed cold last night so I got them extra blankets. One of my cats got her claws caught in the blanket so it had to be taken away from her! I made an appointment to get her nails clipped and luckily got one for later today.
I fancy an English muffin, but I have only got bagels so I will have one toasted with flora and Bonne Maman marmalade. I'm going to get a hot drink and a hot water bottle too. It was only 12 downstairs so the heating has gone on. I feel perfectly okay and warm at night in bed even when the temps drop at night, but getting up I feel how chilly it is. It is sunny at least.
