  • I went out yesterday and stayed in a hotel overnight. It was much less busy than I thought it would be in Greenwich itself, but the O2 was very packed when we walked past. I had doughballs and pasta in Pizza Express.

I'm not doing much at all tonight, I've just done a load of laundry and I'm going to watch some TV. My dog is being dropped off soon. Al I have had is a sandwich today as I feel quite delicate from the bar last night!

Happy new year everyone 🙂 I didn't plan to still be up but my sister and I were chatting and once it got to 11.30pm she decided she just as well stay

N2BT I have the ninja 15-1 and the disadvantage is it does need space to open the lid so you need somewhere with no cupboard above it

Tinned mackerel on toast for lunch.  I fed my sister tonight JO sweet n sour pork although I forgot to buy tinned peaches so it was made with pineapple, even cooking for two I've ended up with LOs

Happy New Year all. I watched Rick Astley and the fireworks last night.

I made a sun dried tomato houmous yesterday and I just had the leftovers on a wholemeal roll.

Sitting listening to the rain again, looks like 2024 is coming in the same way as 2023 went out! 🌧️

His lordship generously allowed me a lie in this morning which threw me a bit  :| but I'm not complaining. I started decluttering again today there is far too much 'stuff' upstairs just because I live in a three bedroom house doesn't mean I have to fill it  :# the urge will probably wear off but I have several bags for charity sorted and must put my old AF and a couple of other bits on the local free FB page

A glut of eggs meant I hard boiled a half dozen this morning, I toasted a muffin and mixed a couple with a little mayo for lunch.  I tweaked a recipe to make it 'slimming' and made a fruity chicken curry with rice for dinner and threw in some LO broccoli. There are more LOs added to the fridge so no cooking for the next couple of days  as I don't want to add to the freezer

  • Happy new year everyone 🥳🍸

Back to CFO and trying to get my head back into getting up and going to work 😬

Have meal planned and done a small sainsburys shop (Lidl was closed oddly). I’ve also put a load of towels through the washer to dry on the airer as the heating has been on since I got home early afternoon.

Got sent home with a sandwich to eat on the journey and made an easy pesto pasta tonight with tuna, broccoli and a few cherry tomatoes and olives chucked in. Have had a few segments of chocolate orange with my cuppa 😉

Wishing you all a happy and prosperous New Year - I got off to a good start yesterday making a fried egg sandwich for breakfast and it was a double yoker  B) - a sign of the year to come…..hopefully

I had a friend visit so had a late lunch of hm steak pie, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, swede and skirlie. After all that for lunch I just nibbled on cheese & crackers later on.

It was a beautiful sunny but chilly day yesterday however its back to rain today, yet again were on the Sepa flood alert list - I’m sure I heard bbc weatherman Matt Taylor say that the wettest region 2023 was NE Scotland :(  - hopefully we can pass that gong on to somewhere else this year.

Whilst the oven was on yesterday I used up the leftover pastry to make a ham, mustard & cheese pasty which I will have for lunch then I fancy curry for tea.

Happy New Year all, I typed a post yesterday, but it vanished into thin air :'(
It's awful out, wet & windy

I'm on more leftovers for the next few days, the turkey was roasted, and the cooked legs are back in the freezer. Main carcass has to be picked at over the next few days, and a trifle I made with LO Christmas pudding & HM banana loaf is in the fridge to be used as & when it takes my fancy.

The fridge is slowly emptying, and an Asda delivery is due tomorrow, just the normal stuff now, milk etc. The only problem item is dishwasher tablets, but I'm sure that can be resolved.

Meals today, as above, picking at LOs

    Good morning everyone,
Last day off for DS2, he finished up on 15/12 so has had a decent, if not terribly restful break. He may or may not take the decorations down later.
Had a lovely evening with my sis and nephew, I made far too much food so lots of lovely leftovers to use up over the next few days. The kitchen is chaos as we didn't do a full clear up just loaded the dishwasher and stacked the rest. More tea required before tackling that.

    Those roast potatoes look nice!

I am going to make a chickpea dip again for brunch and have half of it on wholemeal toast as I have some slices left before my shopping delivery tomorrow. Leftover soup for a late lunch with a roll I have left over.

It is raining heavily here. I didn't go out yesterday even for a walk as it was raining and getting dark when I thought to get around to going out. I can't believe it is midday already.

I had to call up to check when my dentist is this week. It is Thursday, apparently. I'm losing track of what day it is.
