I hope you are both feeling better soon Brambling and Caronc.
I slept in until 11.48 this morning! I had a veggie sausage sandwich and a cup of tea.

I'm still a bit wheezy but did sleep better last night 🙂 Typical day off weather here, it rained hard all day 🙄 I'm back at work tomorrow so it's bound to be dry!
I hadn't planned to go to a SM today but my smoke alarm started bleeping this morning, at least it wasn't in the middle of the night which is usually is. I tried Lidl first as I was determined to avoid town in the rain, but they didn't have the correct battery. I did stock up on their 15p veg I'll share the potatoes and parsnips with my sister. I managed to grab a space In Sainsbury's carpark (currently free for 2 hours even if you don't shop there so nearly impossible to get one during the day) I picked up a 19p red cabbage and some YS fresh cranberries which will do for Delias red cabbage and cranberry recipe 😋 I also picked up one of their half price side Of salmon the smallest which was £8 but that should do a lot of portions when I cut it up tomorrow to freeze should do until Easter 🐣 🐟 Waitrose order was tweaked when I got home to remove the veg I picked up, Waitrose only brought theirs down to 30p. Gout medication picked up on the way home and only a half hour queue

Ooh, slow cooker lamb curry sounds fab, Farway 😋
Well, another day, another lunch out for me. Was absolutely stuffed all afternoon but did have a little smoked salmon sandwich late this evening, just to keep me going through the night 😉
Literally counting the days until I finish…unfortunately the to-do list is not getting any shorter…0 -
I got my new treadmill delivered yesterday as a xmas present to myself.
I wanted something I could use at home when the weather is too bad for me to go outside. It was pouring yesterday and being out in cold and rainy weather sometimes triggers a fibromyalgia flare up. It is typically dry and sunny today!
I have had some toast with Flora and Marmite. I need to buy some more marg today.2025 GOALS

Dull and grey, but it's dry now Brambling is back in workHope your back behaves over the Christmas Caron, and the gout medication keeps on working Brambling. Are you up to full strength one yet, or still on trial?Thought I'd sort out my new year Asda deliveries and made a right mess of it by accidentally cancelling my recurring slots, I'll have another go later when I have more time to think about itThe leg of lamb is nice and lasting forever, glad I bought it now. I think tomorrow maybe lamb curry day but wait & see, it is also Christmas Asda delivery day so I may get distracted with “putting away” etc.Lunch, LO lamb in a sarnie with mint sauceDinner, more LO lamb, and this time I may do the B & Squeak mash & broccoli I was going to have yesterdayEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
I'm glad the wheezing has eased Brambling.
DS2 put our tree up yesterday and frustratingly the lights decided to fail. A case of get new ones today and start again. He also strung fairly lights across the conservatory roof, Hector doesn't quite know what to make of them!
The chicken and leek cottage pie was lovely though I only realised after I'd assembled it that the parsley was supposed to go through the spuds not the sauce! It was very tasty and we all enjoyed it very much.
Weather wise it calmed down a bit yesterday but it's pretty manky out today and to get wild again later. We've a trip to the fishmongers planned and I need to chase up my repeat meds. Boots aren't answering the phone so I'll pop in while we are out. My back is still sore so not planning anything too bendy.
LOs for lunch and probably haddock, mushy peas and oven chips for dinner.0 -
Oooo nice present Wednesday - I got myself cosy boots, gloves & and a hat
Bit of a grotty start here with some heavy rain but its brightening up a bit now. Went off to meet a friend for a cuppa and a catch-up. Picked up some of the cheap veg at the SM on my way back; I’ll use some to make more soup as I’m down to one portion of potato & leek in the freezer.
Lunch will be leftover curry sauce from last night and I’ll throw in some cooked chicken pieces. Tonight I’m thinking eggs of some kind - maybe an omelette or even just scrambled eggs on toast.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Scrambled eggs is a CFO classic, need2b, add some mushrooms and it’s a gourmet meal 😉
Back in the office today as there is a lot to sort before we finish on Friday.
Had another portion of spicy carrot and lentil soup with toasted pitta for lunch. Easy reheat tea tonight - portion of the batch cooked nutty sweet potato stew.
Having a lazy evening watching all the quiz shows 🙃1 -

I made sun dried tomato soup for dinner as I had a bowl in a local cafe a few weeks ago. Absolutely delicious. Onion, garlic, coconut milk, veggie stock and a tin of tomatoes blended up with a few sun dried tomatoes and the oil from the same jar. I might make that every week from now on.
I had some fresh bread and butter with it.
