You're right Wednesday they said they wanted it in line with my birthday, although it will be nearly two months out after I tried to avoid it 🤔 I'm told most gluten free bread can be horrid, I've a great niece and nephew who are coeliac.  I'm told Genius is one of the better ones and I've heard good reports re M&S especially their tiger bread but it's all so expensive unless you see it YS

i hope the new toy worked well Caronc 🙂

Three back to back meetings today starting at 9am unfortunately by the time my 11am meeting started which I take I was coughing and needed to take a water and inhaler break after the hellos, at least they kept it short after that  ;) I'm blaming the pollen

I used up a half tin of beans and had beans on toast for lunch.  LOs for dinner, pork and mushroom stroganoff with tenderstem broccoli and asparagus, I just had to ping it

  • Usual Wednesday morning offsite meeting, which was very productive, and not too late home. Quickly assembled a posh fishfinger sandwich and wolfed it down while logging back on in my home office. Most of a slightly tedious but strangely rewarding task completed (decided to finish it fresh in the morning).

Been a lovely day weather wise…load of washing dried on the line 🙃

More swimming this evening and chicken, pepper and cashew nut egg fried rice for tea when I got in.

    Feel nicely tired tonight 😴

Just didn't fancy my salad last night, so it's there for today's dinner. I did manage to eat my HG strawberries though. There's enough ripening for another meal I reckon, by which time I'm hoping the goosegogs will be ready

More sunshine today, so should get a bit of garden pottering completed and tie in the blackberry ready for next year.

Lunch, pick over the LO chicken, should be enough for a sandwich
Dinner, smoked mackerel out defrosting, grill that with salad, HM coleslaw and trying out a tin of Asda mixed beans salad to which I've added some Mayo

I have heard of the Genius bread, but haven't tried it yet.

I just had a wholemeal (non-GF) roll for breakfast.

    Good morning everyone,
Didn't get as far as playing with my toy yesterday, I decided I wanted to have it out on the counter so I'd be more inclined to use it regularly. To do this I needed to reorganise one area in my kitchen and thought while I was at it I'd just give that end of the kitchen a thorough declutter and scrub. Needless to say that too longer than I thought! I then had to pop my HR hat on and deal with an urgent enquiry from the organisation I volunteer with. The curry didn't need much by way of prep so I just did it by hand. It's in place now and I'm aiming to try it out later.
Today I need to book a skip for next weekend and deal with some more HR/admin stuff.
LO curry for lunch and pasta with a chorizo, veg and pesto sauce for dinner.

Another hot day 🥵 i did go out lunchtime and did some pruning so was hot, sweaty and itching (short sleeves allergic to something 🙄) I filled about three quarters of my bin

I grabbed some fruit before going back to work after gardening.  We finished work on time again 🙂 so I was able to tidy up the garden and popped to Waitrose with a very short list for milk, fruit and veg but today was one of those days for really good YS fruit, veg and meat.  Being a nice sister I picked up stuff for me and my sister I was that person walking around on my mobile saying do you want a pork joint for £2.50 instead of £7.50 etc.  I didn't share everything 😁 two lamb shanks for £2 from the meat counter and some lovely thick FR pork loin chops also £1 each made it just into my basket. There were also trolleys full of 12p cucumbers, 50p vine tomatoes and 50p melons 😁 my sister will pass some onto my nephew and his partner who have difficulties at the moment with a high rent etc

Dinner when I got home was salmon and salad.

  • Great bargains, Brambling 🙃

Just a day here, really. Wfh so once I’d finished, I did some bits of voluntary admin that had been hanging over me before making dinner. Not done much else though, feels like it should be the weekend by now!

Serrano ham, egg and new potato salad for lunch. Made a yummy sausage and spinach gnocchi tonight 😋

A good YS haul there Brambling, by coincidence I'm on pork chop today, not FR or YS, but it did oink before it was in the freezer
Sunny & warm day forecast, but there is a breeze to keep it reasonable, I've already completed my plant watering for the day, got it done before any heat arrives

Lunch, probably cheese & tom sandwich for ease
Dinner, as mentioned, pork chop defrosting, with use up spuds mash & a bit of side salad
Also spotted HM stewed apples while freezer rummaging, now defrosting for maybe a crumble? Must check on custard horde because the Asda list is due this weekend

I really don't like this humid weather! I couldn't sleep last night as I napped during the day.

I have to get and up and dressed as the insurance people are coming round. The builder next door said he thought the water leak wasn't anything to worry about, but I want to get it checked just in case. He did go up a ladder and check the roof for us.

I have to go and get showered and dressed. I'm not sure what to have for breakfast.
