Still sorting out my online Asda order, costs are running away with it, plus items suddenly becoming unavailable. So frustrating I have started an Iceland order just in case and may skip the Asda one due next week

Sun was out but clouding over now, if sun keeps going I'll do a spot of "potting up" this afternoon

Fresh loaf overnight in the Panny, just as well because the last crust I had put by for this morning's toast t had mould on it :o
Also put a gammon joint in the oven for tonight's dinner, it'll easily be ready by midday so can cool for tonight

Lunch, fresh loaf sarnie, probably cheese & sliced raw onion, but may be slices of ham if it's cooked, wait & see about that
Dinner, some gammon, pile of mash & nuked frozen veg of some sort
I have run out of mustard :'( , one of those items always around until it isn't, I don't remember using the last of it but must have

I have been to the vet with my cat and then to the beach with my dog afterwards. Got lots of steps in, I'm over 12,000 already.

I had crumpets and a smoothie for breakfast and got chip shop chips on the way home.

  • In the office today but on a course in a meeting room. No crises while I was missing 🙃

Last portion of nana’s magic soup from the freezer for lunch, with a chunk of sourdough also from the freezer. Beige (with a bit of green) tea tonight - scampi, chips, peas, bit of rocket and sort of HM tartare sauce. And wine 😉

    Glad it’s the weekend!

    I'm also glad it's the weekend 😁

usual work day and the benefit of WFH is a couple of loads of washing done as I'm out tomorrow.

Lunch was a half portion of stuff courgette, I seemed to have made more than I planned so another portion for tomorrow dinner, I also made some mash potatoes to make a shepherds pie to freeze.

I'm helping a friend with a cake sale tomorrow and went around after work to help her ice and finish cake making, I didn't get involved in making any cake this year so she has been very busy 🙂 dinner was fish and chips as a thank you for helping

Dull & cold, sat here just waiting for my Iceland delivery, ordered yesterday as my Asda one was getting more & more muddled with items dropping off, then on again. So far, my Iceland order seems to be intact, but they do have fewer choices than Asda. I have an Iceberg lettuce on there, have to wait & see how that goes

The gammon I cooked yesterday is lovely, I was picking at it every time I went in the kitchen, like the cold Christmas turkey carcass. Loads left for the weekend meals

Lunch will be ham sarnie, with hopefully freshly delivered mustard
Dinner, more ham, with either mash or HM chips and fried eggs

    Good morning everyone,
I've the house to myself as DS2 and Hector are at a doggy birthday party. Yes I know....!! Ideal though as it should mean Hector is suitably shattered tonight.
I'm as organised as I can be and as far as I can tell DS2 doesn't suspect a thing!
Bacon and egg brunch today and then beige buffet tonight.

I woke up starving as I fell asleep about 8 with no dinner. I had a vegan cheese toastie in the air fryer and a packet of crisps when I got up.

I am trying to save money so I am going to eat before I go out later. I'm not sure what to have yet...

  • Quite busy today for me on a Saturday 😂. Worked for a few hours this morning then made scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast before heading out to have my hair cut and coloured. Went to the big Sainsburys I pass on my home to do a small grocery shop - wasn’t cheap but included a few toiletries.

Home to hang washing on the airer and empty the dishwasher. Made lamb leg steak, mashed potatoes, carrots and cabbage with port and redcurrant sauce tonight. Eaten watching Saturday night telly 🙃

I hope the party went well Caronc 🙂

Snap on the hair cut JKS although I'm no longer colouring mine and have been pleasantly surprised that I'm not as grey as I expected 😁 I did have it cut shorter again in the hope to tame the curls

i helped a friend set up her charity cake stall before my hair cut and went back until it finished at 4pm, I'm glad it's only once a year.  I got home to find a neighbour on the doorstep asking if I had a tbsp of Dijon mustard as he was cooking a new recipe and forgot it 🙂

lunch was a large panini brought for me as a thank you.  Too lazy to cook dinner and not that hungry so I had a piece of carrot cake 🤫 and some fruit

tomorrow unless I get a better offer I'll have to catch up housework and my bedding needs washing

Very dull, grey & cold this morning, looking like you'll be catching up on housework & washing Brambling, certainly not strolling around in sunshine weather right now

Just fancied a boiled egg this morning, it's so long since I had one I was struggling to find an egg cup. The egg turned out perfect for once, except the yolk of course ran out & down the sides as I was eating it, I may need counselling later >:)

Nothing planned for today, may just sow some lettuce in a pot on the window sill and that's about it

Lunch, some more of the ham, maybe in a roll just for a change of shape
Dinner, Nuked baked spud has lazy appeal, maybe with baked bean filling & more ham?
