Snap on the roast chicken Farway, although I did roast mine this evening.  Small Waitrose one using a voucher.  I made be tempted to make coronation chicken with some of the LOs

My CC yesterday turned out far better than I was expecting, definitely worth the bit of extra time IMO, assuming I can repeat it of course, which given my sloppy measuring methods I probably can't

Bright & sunny went out to put repeat prescription into Dr's can't phone through to Chemist for repeat until they've been dispensed by them at least once, so they say. Took opportunity to YS mooch around Co-op, complete blank, I was sort of hoping for eggs because I forgot them on Asda order & updating is PIA with items dropping off as OOS. Anyway, no eggs in Co-op so make do with those I have

I have a builder turning up this evening, quoting for my non-fitting door & stair work. Not big jobs but need sorting

Lunch, thinking of very CBA cheese & onion sarnie
Dinner, taken a W8rose breaded cod fillet out to defrost, that with HM AF chips and maybe nuke some peas. I'm half expecting the builder to knock the door in the middle of it

  • Gosh, it’s turned cold. I am trying very hard to resist putting the heating on - it’s September for goodness sake 😬

Typical Tuesday after a bank holiday today. I stuck with my usual wfh day but spent most of the day on Teams meetings where everyone else was in the office. Managed to get the essential tasks done in between and only have a few emails still to deal with tomorrow.

Was very glad of my reheated LO chickpea and chorizo stew for lunch. Had early tea of posh fishfinger sandwich a little while ago - swimming later.

JO new book may have fallen into my ama*on basket on Sunday ;) in my defence it was a new but damaged book so some money off, I had to really look for the damage when it arrived today  :)JKS I'm also tempted by the meatballs and rice he made last night  :)

Busy work day I think the boss is trying to claw back the time we lost yesterday 🙄 so we didn't finish until after 6pm and spent the day on a Skype call, there's the same tomorrow

lunch was cheese on crumpets (crumpets from the freezer) dinner was LO chicken with LO potatoes made into AF wedges, sweetcorn and coleslaw. I've made coronation chicken for tomorrow as I like the favours to blend overnight

    Good morning everyone,
Hope you enjoy the book Brambling, very MSE getting one with money off. I haven't seen this week's episode, but I do like a meatball.  :)
Overcast but dry here today, the breeze is quite chilly so it feels colder than it is. I resorted to a sweatshirt instead of a t-shirt today.
Working my way through the holiday "to do" list - it seems quite long considering we are only away for few days but we like our comforts. Must do some ironing later and get that out of the way and finalise the Tesco order.
Salad wrap for lunch and tonight I'm trying the JO one pan sausage pasta dish.

Asda delivery arrived on time, six non-available items and three subs, must be some record there
The non-available were all from the Essentials cheapo plebs range, I did hear that range was doing well and items are limited, not a real hardship as most were flan / pies, but YES we have no bananas today, we have no bananas today. B)

Luckily, my home-grown apples are ready, so I can smirk for now, and despite lemonade being not available I have some diet pop subbed but not charged for, online shopping at Asda can be a lottery at times, but I think I'm winning so far
Just had my "personal" W8rose vouchers for the week, I may do a W8rose shop next time because I need decent cheese & Tommy ketchup

Nice and sunny out at least, a bit cool though, but I'm keeping away from the heating controls for now

Meals for today, now I have more mince arrived, a bit short-dated BTW, so driven to burgers again, and because I forgot to add burger buns it'll be burger sarnies :|
Lunch, HM oblong sarnie shaped burger in a sarnie
Dinner, naked burger [no roll], with fried eggs, HM AF chip & open a tin of beans

  • Technically warmer here today but I’m still feeling a chill (and resisting putting the heating on 😉)

Just a day really, went to my offsite meeting this morning which was productive and then home at a sensible time for scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. Made early tea of pea and feta orzo before going out to a volunteer meeting (LOs in a lunchbox for tomorrow’s lunch 🙃)

Oh, way too many treats at meetings today 😬

it was a busy work day although very little got ticked off of any of our to do lists 🙄 just one of those days and tomorrow isn't looking any difference

lunch was coronation chicken and salad.  Dinner was mushroom risotto and green veg

Sunny day again so no heating required, still able to leave window open without freezing so far

With all the missing items from my Asda delivery I've made up a W8rose online delivery for this Sunday AM, decent cheese + posh f fingers, and use the loyalty vouchers so £2.50 off

Today's food, lunchtime use up LO Coronation chicken, in a sarnie, maybe with some lettuce
Dinner, plan is savoury mince & tatties, but I may mash the tatties and go exotic by including celery in the mince mix

    Good morning everyone,
Wet and grey here so I'm pleased I made a major effort with the laundry yesterday, didn't get as far as the ironing though so a job for today. Tesco are due soon and then it's "operation long weekend"!
I'm unsure what the signal will be like so will probably be AWOL for a few days.
The one pan sausage pasta was lovely definitely on the make again list. LOs for lunch and chicken chasni from the freezer for dinner.
  • A nice office day today 😀

Really felt cold this evening, and it was rainy, so relented and put the heating on for a bit.

Lunch was the previously advertised LO feta and pea orzo, was good cold with a bit of rocket. Made a yummy sausage, mushroom and spinach gnocchi tonight - put fennel seeds and chilli flakes in with the sausage meat, and garlic with the spinach and mushrooms 😋

Another use up leave Friday off tomorrow. Looking forward to another long weekend 🍷
