  • Evening all,

I'm a bit worried the lurgy has got me. I feel like death, although I'm testing negative. I also slept like hell, as I was in a 4 hour virtual queue for NFL tickets, only to not get any :(

I had two GF crumpets for lunch with protein cheese spread on and will have a Gym Kitchen ready meal for tonight's food

I hope you feel better soon LNH  :)

Another busy day but with the satisfaction of finding a archived email when someone argued with a colleague over system changes deployed a couple of months ago which showed we originally queried them and their manager was insistent it was what she wanted  :D so nice to be able to forward it and say we suggest you speak to your manager  🙄

Lunch was a tin of mackerel on toast.  Dinner jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw and salad

    Good morning everyone,
Hope you're feeling better today LNH
Dry and sunny here so going to tidy up the hanging and wall baskets they were battered by the torrential rain on Sunday and are looking rather bedraggled.
Cheesy chilli meatballs in tomato sauce with pasta, salad and garlic bread for us tonight. The meatball mix is from a batch I made a few weeks ago so just the sauce to make later.
Coronation chicken went down well with my sis and DS2 so not as much leftover as I had hoped there might be but enough for lunch.

Hope you are on the mend LNH, the covid but not covid does seem to be around, I'm sure I had it a while back despite negative result

I'm another lover of Coronation chicken Caron, in fact if it wasn't MOT day and possible interruptions I would be tempted to make some for tonight

Brambling, sounds like a good find among the emails, sometimes an office victory gives a sense of wicked glee satisfaction

Cooler but sunny today, just finished off my W8rose online order, delivery tomorrow after lunch, I was going to leave ordering but then realised I'm out Saturday, fridge is nearly empty and stocks are getting low
I've ordered an on offer gammon joint, and trying the £10 Chinese meal deal, if I've selected correctly  I should be able to eat one & freeze one

MOT day today, should be fine but never 100% sure with these things, corrosion hidden away somewhere etc

Lunch will be toast from some frozen slices, no idea what to spread on it, maybe fake Asda Philly cheese?
Dinner, I've taken a YS M & S lasagne out to defrost, very MSE, saving 15 minutes of gas by defrosting on kitchen top and cooking from chilled instead of frozen

  • Evening all!

Many thanks for the good wishes, I'm slightly better today, although that was because I slept a bit longer.

Food has gone out the window as I'm too poorly to think about it, so I knocked together two rolls for work tonight

I'm another fan of coronation chicken especially if allowed to mature 🙂 one of the few times I like fruit with meat as I like to add a little dried apricot to mind

snap on the waitr8e delivery Farway, I did booked for Sunday but moved to Saturday in the hope there will be no subs.  I decided to skip their on offer gammon as I have a small one in the freezer already. I did notice that this time they are only offering 50p off a small chicken on 'my offers' and not the £1 they have been, I didn't need one so left it this time.

lunch was falafels in a wrap with salad.  Dinner beef rendang from the freezer

@Brambling After sending me money off vouchers for items I never buy last week, this week they've reduced the value of the my offers to roughly half of the price they normally offer. I will be voting with my feet if they continue to do this as the prices are still going up.

    Good morning everyone,
Hope you are okay today LNH.
I really should make Coronation chicken more often though it's a bit of a faff it is gorgeous and yes chopped apricots are a must. Like you Brambling I'm often not keen on fruit/meat combos but than and gammon/pineapple are exceptions.
Lots of tea needed this morning as I steel myself to make a couple of calls. One is to a company that has completely mucked up an order I had placed and now the refund is incorrect too!
Overcast here with rain forecast for this afternoon.
Pooch sitting my sister's dog today, thankfully him and Hector are rubbing along together fairly well now.
LO pasta for lunch and easy option tonight of Chicken Kyiv, baked spuds and various veg.

Cloudy but warm, out early watering the volunteer plants, trying to get done before my W8rose delivery arrives. All available except celery, I opt for no subs with celery ever since they sent loads of celery sticks as a sub which being CFO just don't keep like a head of celery

Sad news on MOT, failed rust underneath. Going back in on Tuesday to see how bad & cost. Just wish everything would fail at once so a quick scrap or not decision could be made instead of repair this & that over a time. I console myself, knowing I can't buy another car for the cost of my repairs and some people pay more in road tax than some of my repairs

I noticed the money off vouchers decreasing and selection as well, but used them anyway, £1.50 off helps pay delivery cost

Meals are use up lunch, LO HM spud salad with last slice of fake Spam
Dinner, with the W8rose delivery it will depend on BBE dates, possibly part of a £10 meal deal?

I draw the line at gammon and pineapple Caronc 🙂

Work wasn't too bad today, it has helped this week that my colleague who makes everything one big drama has been away this week 🙄

I got some garden done lunchtime and after work so filled the garden bin for tomorrow.  There may have been some bad language used when I almost fell in the japonica when massacring  cutting it back those thorns are big and I jarred my hip saving myself from going completely over  :#

Lunch was a cheese and spinach omelette and a small side salad. I found some chicken livers in the freezer so dinner was dirty rice and black beans with some Pork mince also from the freezer and plenty of veg 😋 plenty of LOs so I fear some will end up in the freezer 🙄
