    Good morning everyone,
DS1 and DIL-to-be are popping by later with DS1's best mate to see pup but otherwise a quiet day.
After our chat the other day I've defrosted a small gammon joint for dinner (with pineapple :) ). I'll slow cook it and there should be plenty for sandwiches during the week. Cheese toastie or French toast for lunch.

Back from my day on the beach, it was beach weather with a gentle cooling breeze off the Solent with Cowes week yachts on the horizon, Brambling I never had sunscreen either, and as my mum used to say I've "caught the sun"

Snap Caron, picking my first ripe toms today, yellow cherry ones with my salad tonight, and I have beans ready now

A bit cooler than normal today, but have decided on salad to go with my snap Brambling posh fish fingers dated BBE tomorrow, grr W8rose :rage: I'll freeze the rest of the F Fingers

    Lunch BLT sarnie

  • Bit of a domestic catch up day here - dusting, hoovering, mopping, bed changed, sink shined, load of washing dried on the line (damp first thing but dried up and turned into a lovely afternoon). I’ve also been for a swim and spent some time on the sofa 😂

Lunch was smoked mackerel pate and toast with cucumber sticks and the last of the cherry tomatoes. Pork stroganoff with noodles and broccoli tonight (one portion for the freezer too). I’ve also prepped office day lunches and fruit for breakfasts and snacks 😅

Snap on the gammon Caronc 🙂 I cooked a small one this morning for lunches, no pineapple with mine  :s

After we caught the sun as children Farway my mother would bring out the bottle of calamine lotion and cover us in it 😁

LO lentils stew for lunch.  My sister came for dinner as my nephew had friends round, I let her watch the football ⚽️ 🏆 We had pork ribs, chips, coleslaw and corn on the cob 😋for dinner followed by fruit

    Good morning everyone,
    Looks fab Farway.
Hector must have had a really good sleep last night as he is hyper this morning, I'm tired just watching him run about at full tilt!
Spent a satisfying couple of hours in the garden yesterday and it's looking much better, still lots to do but there's rain due so probably won't be today.
As expected there's a fair bit of gammon LO, will have some with salad in a wrap for lunch. DS2 is cooking tonight - aubergine biriyani.

Very close & muggy feel to the weather this morning, I went up watering the volunteer pots first thing and someone told me it tipped down only a few miles away from here I am, could do with it to break this humidity

Into the Co-op while I was up there, sliced loaf & a cucumber, got a discount again for being a member, pennies not pounds, but it all helps

Only other planned work today is potting salvia cuttings, and change bedding, apart from that it's lolling around feeling hot

    Lunch BLT sarnie again
Dinner, rump steak, HM AF chips & a couple of fried eggs I think, or maybe with a bit of salad depending on how I feel at the time

  • Just a day here really, weather was nice when I left the house but I’m sure the 27 degrees I found when I left the office wasn’t forecast 🤔🌞

Lunch was miso cucumber and cashew noodle salad. Tuna, broccoli, sun dried tomato and pesto pasta tonight.

Feeling less tired each day but still needing my sleep…night night 😴

Grey start to the day but the promised rain never happened and it was sunny and warm by early afternoon.

Quiet start to the week workwise, but no complaints from me and it's always good to finish at 5pm.  Nice long chat with one of my neighbours before dinner as she had found a handbag in the road earlier and came back to tell me she had found the owner, they rang their own phone.  unfortunately they had travel home early 100 miles away before they realised she had put the bag down on the pavement and hadn't picked it up  :#

lunch was gammon and salad. I made tandoori chicken in the AF for dinner and had salad again :)

The handbag lady was "lucky" even if it's a 100 mile round trip to get it back, at least it was safe, not like the ones who put parcels on car roof & drive off. I found some letters & packets in the road back in my walking days, obviously fell off a car roof because the address was in the same street, so I just posted them back through their door

Dull & close today but nothing planned, it's MOT repair /welding day so expecting a bill of three figures later, but basic MOT is around £55 unless on offer somewhere

Food is last of the B in a BLT sarnie for lunch
Dinner, one of my W8rose Chinese meal deals, not sure which one it depends on BBE dates, one lot is today, other is tomorrow

    Good morning everyone,
    Lucky handbag lady!
Windy but dry here this morning after heavy rain yesterday evening and overnight. Still feeling quite warm though.
Usual Tuesday dinner with my sis tonight and I need to prep the living room ready to get the stove serviced and chimney swept tomorrow.
Gammon salad for me for lunch and DS2 will have LO biriyani. Tonight I'm making this sausage/pepper stew https://www.theguardian.com/food/2022/j ... chel-roddy with a tin of borlotti beans added.
