Warm again today, with plenty of sun.Getting to be "Sick Parade" here now
, hope there are some improvements JKS & Brambling
Hospital taxiing yesterday dragged on, so it was fresh air for lunch, no café available yet post Covid, they had managed to reintroduce parking charges thoughWaiting for a new tin opener to arrive from Amazon, my old one is skipping dented bits now, and a tin opener is an essential kitchen CFO tool in this houseLunch, probably bacon, lettuce & tom sarnieDinner, salad I think, I've taken some LO roast chicken out to defrost, so that plus use up spud smashed should be a minimum heat in kitchen dinner

Thanks everyone, made it through. Did have a nap at the end of the working day 😉. Overwhelming symptom is still the tiredness, slight lingering cough but nothing too bad. Back out into the world tomorrow!
Bit of use up lunch today, salad with cheese and hard boiled egg, end of the coleslaw and bread and butter. Bacon, courgette and sun dried tomato pesto pasta with a side salad tonight.
Expect another early night is on the cards 😴0 -
I'm glad you're feeling better JKS, suggest you have a relaxing weekend
after a disturbed night my foot isn't as bad as last time 🙂 I'm assuming because started the tablets earlier, shoes are still a no but as long as I keep it up it's ok
lunch was LO beans on toast. Dinner chicken and AF chips with sweetcornLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Hope everyone has a lovely and relaxing weekend.Boringly, my meals are the same as yesterday. Just the 4 hours sleep today, but squeezed in a gym sesh (no cardio, not with this level of tiredness)
Work has gone bananas tonight, so I'm looking forward to my dinner!!"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"0 -
Up & out early, watering the volunteer large pots before it gets baking hot. Back home & carried on watering, this time the pots in the back garden with hose, now all done and take rest of the day off indoors in shadeNice to hear the gout seems to have eased Brambling, fingers crossed, and with JKS improving let's hope we all stay wellI'm another one on rinse & repeat meals LNH, lunch another BLT sarnie, dinner another salad but no idea what the protein / meat part will be yet, maybe try out my new tin open on a tin of Herrings in tom sauce? Not sure that I should have such excitement in this heatEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Glad your gout is easing Brambling.
I think rinse and repeat meals are unavoidable when you are CFO.
Overcast but dry and pleasantly warm here so far.
Lazy start to the day with a lie in, coffee in bed and then a leisurely shower.
DS2 has been productive with dough made for focaccia and Hector given a bath. The boys and DIL-to-be are off to their Aunt's this afternoon (ex-OH's twin) and are taking various food bits. She may or may not cater and it may or may not be an all day thing or just a couple of hours......! I'll look after Hector, we'll potter in the garden while temperatures are okay.
Meals are tbc, salady bits for lunch and if I'm CFO tonight possibly a fishfinger wrap though if the kids are back early evening we might bbq.0 -
Managed to make it out of the house for a food shop today - no meal plan, just bought loads of salad options and fruit. Was exhausted when I got home. Have also managed to change the bed but that’s about it today, still very tired. Don’t suppose the heat is helping…
Lunch was fresh bread, cheese and salady bits. Made Niçoise salad with a tuna steak tonight, eaten in the garden 😀0 -
I'm glad you got out JKS and managed to top up supplies 🙂
I spoke to a doctor this morning and she gave me some more tablets for my gout just in case, as they work better if taken as early as possible and I have enough for this course. She advised that if a person has two attacks in 12 months they tend to put you on a permanent medication but it can't be taken when I've got gout as it will make it worst! So we agreed I would talk to my doctor about that and maybe get another blood test. I managed to get to the chemist to pick them up before they closed at 1pm as it's easier than during the week in my slippers 😬.I came home via T Exp forgetting I had my slippers on until I was queuing to paybut I had a idea in my head to make ice cream so I needed the cream, the juice not delivered by Waitrose and some milk.
I made a salted caramel no churn ice cream using a tin is carnation caramel 😋 i was good and divided it into two so I can send some down to my sister and nephew when I next see them, if it lasts that long 😁
I was given a omelette maker which my friend hadn't used so lunch was a cheese and chive omelette with tomato and beetroot. Dinner was chicken saladLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Glad your gout is easing, Brambling and that you managed to get out of the house, JKSI finally got to bed at midday after taking my daughter to football training and woke up at 4. Looks like it's going to be all week at 4 hours sleep hahaLunch was vegan Applewood cheese on GF toast and dinner will be a Gym Kitchen ready meal., it was in the discounted aisle today and it'll be interesting to see how it tastes"Let me tell you something you already know. I'm all set for the world to catch fire now, watered the pots out the back & topped up the bird bath.Blue sky, hot sun and a very slight breeze. I keep seeing notices on FB that such & such pool, lido or beach [West Wittering Brambling] is fully booked and stay way, but I expect there will be queues anyway as those who believe it doesn't apply to them go regardlessAnother rinse & repeat todayLunch BLT sarnieDinner tinned mackerel + salad with HM AF chips. The new tin opener worked a without any bother at all, let's hope it stays that wayEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
