    Welcome to CFO LateNightH

Very close and a bit cloudy, after an uncomfortable night
Weather so muggy I'm off food, sort of snacking. My defrosted salmon fillet for yesterday's dinner is still in the fridge, all being well I'll cook it later today & have with a spot of salad bits

Brambling, I had similar thoughts about not subbing my fruit juice, in my case it was Asda not W8rose, but I can't believe there was none at all at any price but unable to check so having to take their word for it

Lunch, I may just pan fry the salmon to use it and serve with some lettuce etc, no spuds, just light lunch
Dinner, thinking about breakfast style, grilled bacon, the veggie black pudding, fried eggs, toast & bung the LO beans on top
Or maybe it'll finish up like yesterday, a cheese & marmite sarnie

The veggie black pud, jury is still out because I'm not sure if I cooked it correctly last time, I fired it in non-stick pan, but it stuck so turned into a mess, tasted OK though.
I'm going to add oil to pan next time round

  • Ooft, long day. It’s my two big meetings day but dialled in due to the house arrest, easier in some ways but harder in others, oh well all done. I then did a Zoom voluntary meeting tonight 😛

Lunch was quiche, salad, coleslaw and bread & butter. Quick tea before my meeting of burger, new potatoes, salad and coleslaw.

    Tired now…
  • Thank you for the welcome everyone!

Hot day today, so my sleep wasn't great. Had some reduced BBQ Burnt Ends and microwave chips for breakfast/lunch and got a concoction of rice, peppers, red onions and edamame beans for dinner tonight

    Welcome LNH  :)

my foot is swelling  :( I went out for a couple of hours earlier and I was really happy to take my shoe off when I got back, I think I'm going to have to look out left over meds from May as I'm sure the gout is back, just visiting the other foot

I didn't fancy a salad for lunch so had a bowl of strawberries and some squirty cream (and remember why I don't usually buy it ) Late dinner when I got back of toast and marmalade

    I must eat better tomorrow

Oh dear Brambling, hope the meds work, PDQ.

Hot sun with a cooling breeze, already been out watering because I'm hospital taxi for a friend midday today, which being hospitals can be very open-ended on timings

Lunch is therefore an unknown, could be just fresh air unless the Hospital friends have a cake stall :D

Dinner, another too hot to cook day, so I've taken  an M & S RM MFO out to defrost for dinner, it's creamy veg curry

My bread is piling up & getting staler plus the same in the freezer, looking like a bread pud is brewing before it all goes mouldy in this humid heat

    Good morning,
Ouch Brambling, hope the meds help.
Cooler but drizzly here this morning.
Insurance renewal to sort out and Tesco order to finalise. With the hot weather forecast for next week I'm going with easy prep/cook outside options as my kitchen/conservatory gets very warm.
Think I'll be having Marie Rose sauce with everything as made far too much for last night's meal. Just as well it's salad season so it won't get wasted.
Nadiya's oven baked chicken. rice & peas for dinner.
  • The heat saw me struggling to sleep again, so it was up after a 4 hour sleep, some scrambled eggs with chipotle Tabasco and caramelised onion cheese on a slice of GF toast, then off to the gym and now to work.

Dinner will be the other half of the piri-piri chicken/sweet potato/steamed greens that I had a few days ago!

  • Sooo tired today, have done nothing except water the garden and make dinner since finishing work at 4, hope this is the worst of it…

Lunch was cheese and coleslaw sarnie. Chorizo and green bean fried rice with a soft boiled egg tonight.

    Night night 😴

Take things easy tomorrow JKS 🙂 and then it's the weekend to rest

After a bad night sleep, combination of heat, drinking too much water and a painful foot I had to admit the gout has returned :'(  I did call my doctor surgery to check that it was ok to take the left over pills from May and was told a doc will call from another surgery sometime on Saturday and may want to see me, so I started taking them :*  I really don't want it to get as bad as last time.  unfortunately it meant I had to cancel meeting my friend in Chichester again  :/  I had to hobble to put the bins out tonight

lunch was beans on toast. I cooked a small chicken in the pressure cooker with garlic and parsley butter under the skin and a half lemon inside for dinner and used a bag of green veg from the freezer, just required microwaving for a couple of minutes, handy to have in and brought on offer 😁

    Good morning everyone,
Take it easy JKS of you can, hope the meds help Brambling.
Lots of rain overnight but dry just now though the sky is still pretty grey.
Tesco due soon then it's housework and ironing. I scrubbed the bathroom yesterday so at least that's off the "to do".
LO chicken & rice for lunch and usual Friday freezer rake for dinner.
