Is it a specific breed Caronc or a Heinz mix 🙂 and what will your sisters pooch think 😁
Waitrose essential butter use to be 1.60 not that long ago, it was the likes of president which was £2
Grey and drizzling day here and now heavy rain, and due to do so for the week
I took a small gammon joint and turkey leg from the freezer to cook, and decided to do both in the pressure cooker ( separately) my smart meter showed it was a lot less electricity than using the oven to roast them. It was only a 600g gammon Joint (YS M&S) so was 18minutes after it came up to pressure and very tasty I'll do it that way again. Unfortunately I forgot to put the colander and bowl in the sink 🙄 and tipped all the stock and veg straight into the sinkso no stock for soup, luckily I had removed the joint first 😢 I made the turkey into soup with odds and sods from the veg drawer, it will need the fat skimming off tomorrow but will do for a few lunches and some for the freezer. I'll need lunches for the office a couple of days this week.
Lunch was some of the gammon in a ciabatta roll with salad. Dinner was gammon with LO new potatoes chipped in the AF, tenderstem broccoli and French beans

Right, back to CFO after a couple of eating out and about days - had a fab ham, egg and chips in a pub on Friday, and a good burger at an event last night. Luckily, we danced loads (mainly to keep warm, it was freezing 🥶) so hopefully not done too much damage!
Managed a bit of fence painting yesterday but today has been wet and miserable. Went to sainsburys first thing then came back and prepared Chinese pork belly so that it could marinade for the afternoon. Swimming before jacket spud and beans for lunch. Afternoon of tennis on telly, ironing and voluntary admin.
Dinner was the Chinese pork with noodles and stir fried veg. Leftover pork made into a noodle salad with a load more veg so that’s packed lunches sorted for the week. I’ve also prepped fruit for a couple of days breakfasts and snacks.
Hoping that will all make a full week a bit easier 🤞0 -

My fresh Tiger loaf from W8rose was a disaster; I’m going to see how to moan on their web site later. It arrived a tad squashed but I had it in the kitchen by then or it would’ve gone back with the driver, a very helpful young lady BTW. The first few slices were fine but as I progressed it was obvious it was undercooked and the middle was very doughy, had to bin it because it was inedible
Thus I have a loaf in the Panny right now which should do for most of the week.
Today is the day my car should be back, waiting on the phone call sometime about midday, then pop down and collect it this afternoon
Another tale of woe, my bog standard mobile for in pocket and carry around is a cheapo flip top, non-smart mobile. The hinge has just broken on one side and I fear the screen will fall off leaving me with a duff mobile in two parts. I do have a spare but it’s PIA to sort it out, and I don’t want to start this morning because it’s the number the garage will ring on
Food, probably sausage sarnie for lunch
Dinner, car dependant, may be stab & ping RM of one

Good afternoon everyone,
Hope you can your phone sorted out Farway.
I've done that with stock before Brambling, so annoying!
Sounds like a good weekend and I'm sure the dancing would have burned off all the extra calories JKS.
Pup has been chosen, he's a cockapoo with name tbc. Apparently he's tiny. This week's challenge will to make things as pup-safe as possible!
Dry today but overcast and much cooler, there's not much of a breeze so I'm unsure if the laundry will dry or will needed popped on the rack overnight.
Cooked a huge chook and extra spuds yesterday so plenty of LOs for a salad tonight with other bits and bobs.
Crackers with cheese and fruit for lunch.0 -
Have relented and put the heating on for a bit this evening, so cold and damp today and just couldn’t get warm 😕Office day so at least I didn’t need to heat the house during the day. Everyone seemed to be struggling with back to work after the long weekend so a fairly quiet day.
Lunch was some of the noodle salad with LO Chinese pork 😋. Salmon with a mint and creme fraiche dressing, new potatoes and broccoli tonight.0 -
No heating here until October 😁 but I did find out a thick cardi for tonight but that was probably due to just having a T shirt on 🤔
We had a system crash yesterday so lots of emails in the mail box, luckily most could be read and ignored. It was busy for a Monday
lunch was a portion of turkey soup, I've frozen a couple and will eat the rest for the next few lunches. A £1.50 turkey drumstick from the farm shop gives 6 large portions of soup with added veg 😋
Dinner was gammon, new potatoes and green veg. I made some rice pudding in the pressure cooker as it was still out and I had a lot of milk with today's date, I added a half tin of coconut milk from the freezer 😋 I've enough milk until shopping delivery tomorrow

At last I think I have a breathing space, car is back, all fixed and mobile I’ve sorted I just swapped SIMS over so easy enough, I did wonder if they may have been a different size but they weren’t
More damp weather but sun’s trying hard to come out so a spot of garden pottering may take place, I gave some snails flying lessons yesterday
Found out the complaint procedure for W8rose, duly moaned about my fresh loaf but not heard anything apart from robot reply e mail, not looking for much, refund would be nice but more to remind pickers to put bread on top of shopping not the bottom
I’ve added a fresh mackerel to my next Asda order, I used to like them when I bought in store and hopefully they have not changed much. Well the price has, used to be on offer about a quid, now its four pounds so better be good. The on line reviews read well except there are bones in them, who knew fish had bones?
Food today, my Panny loaf turned out very well, so it’s probably cheese & salady sarnie
Dinner, not quite sure, I’ll trawl through the fresh food for BB dates and see what appeals

Good morning everyone,
Glad you got your phone sorted Farway.
Dry and sunny here though supposed to turn to rain tonight.
Garden beckons both to get on with puppy proofing and plant the begonias I never around to doing the other day.
Sis and pooch here again tonight though should be able to move back home tomorrow.
Salad bits for lunch and tonight I'm using up the remaining chicken in enchiladas which we'll have with some of the coleslaw and potato salad I made yesterday.0 -
Good luck with the puppy proofing Caronc, my neighbour has a really affectionate cockapoo who was a demon escape artist until he was about four he would regularly get out of his harness as well 🙂 I'm told they take a longer time to mature than most doors 😁 I use to get a lovely good morning from him when my leaving the house coincided with his morning walk, I got use to brushing off my trousers
quiet work day, today will be in the office, the only day this week. Lunch was a portion of turkey soup 😋 and dinner the last of the gammon with bubble and squeak, fried egg and LO green beans and broccoli
Waitrose delivery a couple of acceptable subs,I will see if the fishfinger they subbed are as good as their own haddock frozen ones. And a bag of free spinach as it's dated tomorrow

Dry and sunny today so no need for a heating boost 😉
Was a bit silly busy at times but managed to get done the things that had to be done today. The rest will get pushed down the list again…
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. Pasta with tuna, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, chimichurri and cream cheese tonight. Bit random but nice, needed to be quick before a meeting and used up all sorts of bits 😜0
