Another quiet work Monday here 🙃
A very quick call when I got home about the non-delivered item from Friday (no-one could help at the weekend 🙄). Just hope it is resolved and I am refunded as speedily…
Office day so lunchbox salad with lentils, roasted sweet potato and feta. Another favourite traybake tonight - courgette, new potato and chorizo, with chimichurri and salad.
Already a third of the way through the working week 😜0 -
Good morning everyone,
Complete chaos rules but hopefully the worst of it should be finished by tomorrow.
Wish I'd done some batch cooking as the chilli from the freezer was a godsend last night. Meal plan for this week been put aside, thankfully I deliberately didn't buy much by way of fresh stuff that would spoil and for tonight, at least, it will be a takeaway. LO chilli for lunch.0 -
Early start to get car down town for investigation & hopefully repair. Roads were quieter than expected but then realised its half term and they’re all queuing at various airports around the country instead
Hopefully you’ll be sorted and back to normality by the weekend Caron
Popped into Mark’s on way home, + plus bacon roll with my lift. Needed some bread and got another single steak pie plus a rump steak, that’s me sorted really even though I’m compiling an on line order there is no urgency
Yep, my pots got the rain Brambling, and looking at the sky I reckon there’s another lot to come today, cold, dull & windy right now
Lunch, maybe tinned salmon & cuc sarnie but having had bacon roll in Marks not too hungry
Dinner, unsure due to car, I may have to shoot off to collect it so don’t want something that may take a while. I suspect it’ll be something stab & ping from the freezer tonight, or one of the Parsley Box meals

Just a day really, wfh and got everything I needed to get done done plus a few curveballs dealt with. Cold and rainy mostly, surely summer must be due now 🤔
Lunch was filled pasta, tomatoes, Parma ham and basil oil served with salad leaves and avocado. Early tea tonight - beans with toast.0 -

at least just one more working day this week 🥳
Double chicken day for me, but with a little help from his lordship it's all finished with only the bones frozen for stock. It was a very moist chicken 🍗lunch was a chicken and salad sandwich. Dinner chicken with bubble and squeak and broccoli

Another muddled day due to car, the new part was no immediately available but they hope to get it done sometime this morning and I collect early this afternoon, waiting on final come and get it phone call this morning
Meanwhile rain overnight but should be better as the BH progresses, hope so for those who are doing things, I’m not, it’s just another weekend for me, may try and catch Red Arrows going over Sunday afternoon tea time, plus it’s D Day “Overlord” show nearby so there are flypasts scheduled for that.
Due to car todays food is unplanned, probably cheese + salad sarnie for lunch
Dinner, I have an individual Mark’s steak pie which I bought yesterday, so maybe that, HM chips & nuked frozen peas

Good morning everyone,
Just a quick pop in today, plumbing work is in, working and the floors back down but the kitchen is in chaos. Today's and probably tomorrow's challenge is to get it cleaned and put back to rights. We resorted to an Indian takeaway last night and very good it was too with plenty of leftovers which we'll use up for lunch. Tonight may well be bought pizzas.

Well, we made it but gosh the payback for the quiet start to the week hit this afternoon 😂
Lots of great teamwork meant I only left the office half an hour late and we did good this afternoon.
Was very good and went swimming as usual even though it feels like a Friday. I have succumbed to a wine or two though 😉
Lunch was the other half of the lentil, sweet potato and feta salad. Reheated butternut squash risotto (from the freezer) sprinkled with some chopped walnuts and served with mange tout tonight.0 -
Payback here as well JKS
we came in to 30+ emails in our team mail box and it felt like for every one we dealt with two more came in 🙄 I logged off just after 5 and choosed to ignore the boss on a call with our developers in India when he said 'we will be monitoring emails' and took it as the royal We for him
I found crumpets in the freezer so that was lunch with some cheese. Dinner was jacket potato with tuna Mayo, coleslaw and saladLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Time flies, another Royal Jubilee, seems not so long ago we all trooped down to the cinema from school to watch the Coronation filmed in colour having watched it on our tiny B & W TV
At least the sun’s out for those partying and I have made yet another banana loaf to use up black spot bananas.
My car part never arrived so I’ve agreed with garage to just leave my car there until Monday, I was not going to use it anyway and it has saved them putting it back together just for it to sit in my garage. Plus I won’t have to make extra pick / drop off journeys.
With all the car nonsense I finished up with a nuked frozen chicken curry last night, which was fine TBH
Today should be more settled, lunch I’m pushing the boat out with semi posh fish F sarnie with tartare sauce
Dinner, could be my bit of Mark’s rump steak with HM AF chips and side salad, or the Mark’s steak pie?
Because of car and transport I completed my W8rose online order just in case, due on Sunday morning. The personalised vouchers are handy but seem to be dropping to £1 off from £1.50 off initially, still, a couple of quid off is handy and I see they’re now delivering fresh bread, not just the ready wrapped stuff. I have a bloomer on the way, offer price made it less than a sliced white so why ever not?
